Bitcoin in 2019 … what will happen?

What will bitcoin and the other cryptocurrencies do in 2019? Will bitcoin start heading up, or will the price continue to fall?

  1. I really like this video, Once upon a time I was as rabid about these cryptos as the children bickering in the comment section. I rightly predicted when it'll pop and got out at the high. Now I am learning more and more how cryptos have no basis at all. Instead of learning, these children are screaming in the comments and disliking your video.

  2. Bitcoin is now the best form of money the world has ever seen. across all attributes of money, in terms of scarcity, durability, divisibility, portability, etc… Bitcoin is the hardest form of money.

  3. Don't criminals use banks more than crypto? The fact that the FED calls crypto a threat is a good thing, it's called job security and they see the competition moving in across the street. The people who get burned are the ones who shouldn't be investing in the first place. I think the market compared to the 1929/1987/2009 crashes is doing just fine.

  4. Hi Stef it sure looks snowy & cold in Montreal. Very mild here in Dublin, Ireland. Thanks again for imparting your knowledge of Cryptocurrency. Looks like bitcoin is in boom-bust mode. Maybe one day the tech & financial industries will stabilise the crypto currency market. Is cryptocurrency written in C++? Sorry if that's a stupid question. Best wishes.

  5. You do a great job of staying in your lane of understanding on this topic, and thats why I've always been on board with your predictions. So many crypto gurus out there who know nothing about business or IT but claim they understand this market, its what caused so much of the hype to begin with. If i got one thing out of all my business education and background, its that you cant rely on wishful thinking. Do consumers actually need cryptos for anything? No, and no one uses it for hardly anything currently. Like sub .1% of trading volume is actually used to buy anything other than other cryptos. When someone finds a good reason people need crypto, that regular consumers or businesses are on board with, I'm in. But for now its just a terrible version of other real currencies that already work properly. Cash is anonymous. Who needs crypto for global trade? You can buy from anywhere in the world, easily, without crypto. Store of value? Nope. Some weird currencies like vechain and XLM might find use, but those arent really even using blockchain as currency. Issue is that none of its solidified, its all speculative. If you wanna trade this speculative nonsense, toss logic out the window and chase the hype, then sell the fud. Thats all anyone who made profits the past yr did. Anyone who says they knoe it truly has intrinsic value is lieing to u bc theres no cash flow, service, or underlying asset to provide such value.

  6. They've already done comparison reports showing the sheer dwarfing numbers in energy waste produced by the the current global financial systems relative to the comparatively minute BTC mining ecosystem. And that's just electric energy usage. That doesn't account for the physical waste produced by the banks paper documentation or the onsite employees/customers trash and biowaste. I agree it's totally speculative tho. But the price action is so much more fun to watch than my etfs lol

  7. Do you understand bitcoin is the first digital data that can only be owned and used by one single person or entity? And do you understand the impact this can have on our digital life and for many already has? There is no duplication or copy paste in bitcoin like with all the other digital items we have like pics, music etc. Think of it as when sending an image on your whatsapp and once you sent it the other person the person receives it but it will have fully disappeared on your end, literally not just on screen you cant access it anymore at all. Bitcoin itself is just there and necessary to keep the network stable. There will be so many more use cases that we cant even think of right now. Also on the energy consumption. How much energy does the internet consum? Let's shut it down? The truth is that miners go to locations where energy is really cheap. Does the internet or you do that? Why is energy cheap there? Because it is available. And why that? Because its natural resource is infinitely available which is renewable energy like wind and water. That is why there are so many miners that are in Island or Canada. The amount of waterfalls there just can produce more energy than needed. So most of the bitcoin energy Consumption is really renewable energy. It is also not just an ordinary database but I think you know that. Either way I think you are right on the psychology part and I agree the market might make another cat bounce or two but that cat is far from dead. It won't do the dead cat bounce but I think it will stay at a low level in 2019 as it needs to catch its breath and check if everything still works fine. Once that is done it will slowly but surely climb back . IMO even higher, most likely with too much confidenc again at some point, remember it is still a young cat and ready for many more adventures and stairs to climb.

  8. I'm self employed, running a lawn business, but hoping to transition into web development. I also have a p/t job at night, so I don't have too much spare time. I've been through your HTML course, just finished your CSS course, and now starting on JavaScript. This is the off season for my lawn business, so I'm hoping to get the full stack fundamentals down by spring, with the intention of easing into freelance while doing my other work. CSS has turned out to be a little trickier than HTML, so I am going back through the course and, and doing some more practice. The web development learning process is taking a little longer than I had hoped.

I know the importance of SEO. I want to get a site up ASAP, to start getting some recognition from Google. Should I learn some WordPress and throw up a WP site, as I continue to learn, and do some social media posts? I don't want to take on business before I'm ready, but I want to get site traffic started in the mean time. I've also heard lots of complaining about Gutenberg. Is that going to make a lot of the online tutorials obsolete?

Sorry for the long question. Really enjoying your courses! Thanks.

  9. Anything of value has cost behind it…. How much energy to mine gold, silver, diamonds / conversely how much energy does it take to print 1 trillion dollars / a click of a mouse?

  10. Blueberry bagel with a soft egg, that sounds really odd, a fried egg should be on a crusty bread roll and always tastes better bought from a burger van, my favourite burger van used to sit outside a builders merchants and If you wanted the yolk soft you'd answer the question "do ye want to be wearing it?" With "aye, I do!"
Follow that with a tea that's the perfect egg roll right there 😉
