The Chinese govt could perform a 51% attack on Bitcoin for nothing. They simply make it illegal for private companies to mine Bitcoin arrest the owners and take control of the biggest mining pools. They then make the mining pools state owned operations and Bitcoin would be under their control because the majority of Bitcoin mining is in China. That’s like getting the US dollar printed in China. I’m sure not just the US govt would be worried about the national security implications of this if Bitcoin ever became the main currency used in the US. Probably everyone but the Chinese would be worried.

Everybody knows criminals don't use bitcoin they use Monero (the preferred cryptocurrency of kidnappers ) because it is untraceable. DASH is good too but used more by honest people who just want privacy. Zcash is good too but more for tech nerds.
I'm long on DASH.
Blockchain is going to be used against us. Bitcoin will fail and governments will create their own crypto currency and completely control and tax people. I the future people will want fiat because they can hide it. How ironic, we are fighting for something that will be bad for all os us.
Lightning Network has no chance to be adopted by the mainstream. It wont help scale btc. It's just useful in niche cases. Couple people used custodial LN wallets in this lntorch PR stunt to hype up LN but in reality it's rubbish in the real world. Obviously Ivan is jumping on the train to hype LN so moonboys watch this channel.. Pathetic.

cryptocurrecy should be about anonimity and freedom from government and any other criminal authoritarian organisations. There are means to overcome tracking methods (see wasabi wallet, etc..). Don't you think these anonimmity methods will gain the upper hand in the long run? Aren't there means that can provide absolute anonimity (also going into the fututre) ?
They are "banks" systems (formerly prepaid card) which aim is to give freedom, control and no fees to users.
Mobile banks like n26 revolut.
I see this as an intermediary solution between classic banks and crypto
Important question to ask CZ == How decentralized is their DEX, and who is running the nodes(?) or can anyone run a node(?), etc. And can Binance alone decide to freeze/reverse transaction, or has it some form of reasonable governance (at the very least)? What is the consensus mechanism? etc etc

Just because it's transparent doesn't mean the transparency is not manipulated. You have shown it is easy to do so. Whoever creates the blockchain can put a backdoor in it and manipulated however they want. Centralized system, sorry but your blockchain is not secure.

try to keep buying on dollar price averaging – look towards buying on Fridays on a regular basis – any price below 6k is very good value for BTC and I will be looking to keep buying on averaging all the way back up on the dips. The long term price for BTC will be above $80000 by mid next year, and above 400k by 2025. If you need help with the basics, do not invest until you get educated, you have time, it is very early, protect your capital.
