  1. The Pimax 5k+ always has very washed out colors (especially black) compared to the Rift or Vive. I think this has something to do with its LCD panels and back light bleed though.

  2. 7:34 im surprised you didnt move the little wire clip on the right side of the Strap to the left and slip the wire through. Thats what i did and it holds the wire better. You just need a T5 size precision screw driver and youre good to go.

  3. … hellblade struggled to run smoothly on an rtx 2080ti?? bull poop. it ran perfectly on medium settings on my lenovo using fx8350 and gtx 1060. and that was before i discovered wmr's reprojection( which allows me to mostly max dirt rally.. )

but if that is how it currently runs, no matter the reason. thanks for letting us all know and being honest πŸ™‚

  4. ok what difference with 5k pluse an 5k BE what is the best I use htc vive htc vive pro oculus rifts oculus go gear vr ps4 vr I wanting to step up I do lot flight simulators like Pre Par 3d X plane 11 I wanting to no what is the best an thank u

  5. If a 2080 cant do hellblade good then hell no I am not interested. not yet. probaly 5 years from now before somehtiung liek this wil perform well on my budget.

  6. I got my 5K plus a couple weeks ago and I think it works really well. My main complaint is the comfort of the temporary strap they provide. I bought the 5K plus by itself as an upgrade to my Vive so I already have the necessary components as well as the deluxe audio strap. I use a GTX 1070 and haven’t had any issues playing beat saber, Skyrim VR and other games. I also got my pi tool from the main website so maybe things have changed since then. Regardless, the whole set up and installation could be a little smoother

  7. I’ve never heard of the pimax. I was only aware of 3 vr headsets. owning psvr and the rift, the only thing I wished that both sets had was to be able to see things from the corner of your eyes. It kinda feels like looking through a large scope, but than I hear that their is a set that has a wider view? I’m interested.

  8. Please do a review on the Vive Cosmos when it comes out because that is really what I am looking to possibly get. I like the wide field of view of the pimax but that won’t cut the mustard alone.

  9. Ur honest review and integrity are the main reasons I follow ur review Mike, as always, great review, and as I said, I am sim addict, and I all ready have a beast of a PC with 64 GB RAM, M.2 drives, and Rayzen 2700X CPU, waiting for Pimax to completely figure out such complicated tech before investing in one myself, because I am waiting for Oculus response to all that innovation around them since they have great experience in said industry and they've been quiet for some time regarding the next gen of the Rift which I consider a good sign πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ don't u think?

  10. Mmm… not sure how im feeling about my $870 investment into the 5k+ now… If its uncomfortable to wear, cant be used with glasses, and the picture quality looks like shit because of edge distortion…. whats the point of releasing the headset? Not being able to wear glasses is almost a deal breaker… they need to at least include an optional prescription lens infront of the lenses then like Magic Leap does or provide something.
