  1. Love how they use the Covenant soundtrack during this episode. I'm pretty sure it's the "Cargo Lift" when Amanda is detonating the self-destruct and cornered by a swarm of Xenomorphs.

  2. I just skimmed this, and it felt too fast. The long, quiet sections in the game that this series lacks made a sudden cluster of distant clinks send a serious chill down your spine. I felt like this game taught me WHY games will always be more terrifying than movies (You are the one pushing down the hallway, and you don't have a movie director guiding your experience; YOU push yourself forward into the unknown.). This series is probably great for those that don't have the nerves to beat the game on any difficulty, let alone on "Hard" or "Nightmare" (none of my friends could play this game for more than 30 seconds).

But, if you think you can work up the courage, then try to actually play this game. Start with the DLC levels "Crew Expendable" and "Last Survivor." They are the true tutorial levels, imo, and you will enjoy the campaign much much more if you learn how to avoid the Alien on these two easier levels. Not to mention, it is much easier to learn how to handle the Alien when you have a flamethrower to allow you to make mistakes; and, if you don't play these DLC levels first, then you have to play hours before you gain access to this game-making and absolutely-necessary-early-on "crutch" or a tool.

This is one of my top 5 games this gen. I cannot believe a studio famous for RTS's made it. Bravo, and thank you Creative Assembly.

  3. This was sad! Huge portions of the story have been blended with others or completely omitted! There are ZERO new story details and some elements are completely wrong. The biggest problem is the newly created character models. The actual in game models have a beautiful shine to them but the new models are flat and dry looking. This is a waste of time for anyone who has played this game, I give it a 6/10! The fans deserve better than this! GIVE US A REAL SEQUEL TO A BEAUTIFUL GAME!!!

  4. I’m disappointed by the hive scene, watching other YouTubers playthroughs the hive level was longer and full of facehuggers. You would think that they could have, from the audience perspective, put in a Queen cameo. Just a small hint of her and not a full reveal. They didn’t even show the subway scene where Ripley almost gets hit by the train or that she had to traverse through a disintegrating space station to get to the spaceship, completely glossed over.

A compilation of all these episodes amounts to 70 minutes whereas all ALIEN movies have been at least 2 hours. ALIENS the Special Edition (the definitive edition and James Cameron’s preferred version, seriously, this is the version to watch after ALIEN theatrical version) clocks in at about 2 hours 30 minutes. So, there is no excuse for this series to be this short.

  5. I see this series just as a excuse to tie Isolation to that Blackout mobile game.

I prefer my head canon that the alien on the Torrens was just a nightmare that Amanda had while unconscious (from the knock she took while trying to get to the ship) before the Torrens actually picked her up.

Plus it makes more sense for Amanda to have just this one encounter with the Xenomorph, in stead of building a narrative similar to what her mother would eventually end up doing.

  6. okay it filled in some blanks here and there, it COULD be a hint for a second game though? maybe? i mean they can’t keep giving us that huge cliffhanger ending wtf

  7. What a total disappointment. I don't even understand why the new scenes with Amanda in space are the only half-decently animated ones and everything else looks so atrocious, shitty lip-syncing and green screen alike.
