Drone racing: First-person view (FPV)



At an abandoned warehouse in Melbourne’s west, about 30 drone racers have spent hours custom building their multi-rotor machines and fitting them with onboard cameras. Known as FPV racing — or first-person view — the racers use special goggles, some held together with gaffer tape, giving them a drone’s-eye view.

  2. Racing drones are getting cheap and feature packed now more so than ever. I pay less then a $100 from ebay seller https://www.ebay.com/str/sellerwarehouse I have spent 500$ in the past month and each one came in fast and with feature packed designs. I don't see spending $800 just to have the thing fly away unless you own a business and can write it off your taxes..

  3. What I keep seeing would be awesome if in the future they created an intelligent HuD system while flying. Highlighting the flight path relative to ground
