The drone game has changed. That may sound like hyperbole, but that was my first impression when experiencing the DJI Inspire One. This is a unit that anyone could pick up and learn to fly quickly, just as you could with the DJI Phantom. But it offers a ton of powerful new features that were previously only available in units too big, dangerous, and expensive for the average consumer to own.

Watching the Inspire One take off and land is exciting, because it transforms mid-flight, with the legs folding up after takeoff so you can shoot 360 degrees of unobstructed video. The unit also has a ground-facing camera that can track what’s below and keep the unit stabilized, even when there is no GPS signal, making it much easier to fly indoors.

  1. Exposed rotors will have to be "caged". For sure, someone is going to fly it into a tree or something. The cage will also have to provide for a crash landing.

  2. I will take your opinion with a grain of salt because you rich critics made fun of some other drone companies that are trying to make money. Those companies have drones that do at least something well.

  3. For that kind of money the drone sure wobbles a lot. When you watch the video you can see the camera wobble around from the vibration. You'd expect more from a drone that cost that much. But, then again like most drone companies they could probably care less as long as it has more flashing lights and bells and whistles to catch the eye of the consumer.
In a lot of ways drone buyers are like bass fish, they will strike at anything that moves and is flashy and bright. lol

  4. I wanna see a drone with motors that can quickly pivot or tilt for maximum stop & go & high performance turning! Now that would be cool! This would also keep the passenger or cargo area level at all times.

  5. i know this is going to piss off a lot of college Leftists, but i'm a gonna say it anyways: THIS IS THE BEAUTY OF C A P I T A L I S M ! you NEVER see things like this coming out of Communist countries (just saying). btw, they might cost a small fortune today—kind of like the first Plasma TVs or iPhones—but in a few years, they'll be much more affordable.

  6. " We put a book of RULES in w it." YA! Like THATS gonna stop a criminal from misusing it. Terrorists will be using these things!! Sponsored by IRAN!!?

  7. Of course not affortable,,,,,,,, Tuna Nancy Pelosi said ,,,,,,,,,, us minions live on crumbs ,,,,, now get out there and vote democrat so you can get back to rowing position on the slave ship…………. You crumb

  8. 1:15 look at that entire gimbal wiggle. good thing it has digital stabilization too. DJI makes some good stuff, no question… but where they get the idea that $1,000+ is in the average person's budget is beyond me. you can get a decent used car for that much. Luckily there are dozens of competitors offering the same or similar features in the $100-300 range.
