XDynamics Evolve Drone – First Flight, First Impressions

It is so very refreshing to see a company come up with their own version of what they believe is a top quality drone, and making the status quo even better. If you love drones then the XDynamics Evolve is certainly a unique drone to consider. UPDATE: XDynamics has the user gimbal calibration coming in a firmware update.

  1. What ever happen, To JUST MAKING LITTLE FLYING MAVELS OF LITTLE FLYING AIR CRAFTS, THAT ARE FUN TO FLY AND HAVE A CAMERA ON IT SO THE PERSON'S THAT ARE FLYING THEM CAN SHOOT WHAT THEY ARE FLYING ABOUT. WHERE EVER THEY ARE FLYING.AND MAKE IT AFFORDABLE, FOR THEM. Now IT'S DONE GOT WAY WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR THE REGULAR FOLKS. THE ONES THAT PUT THIS LOVE FOR QUAD AND AS THEY SAY IN THE WORLD DRONES FLYING On THE MAP. MOSTLY EVER BODY THAT FLY STARTED OUT ON A LOWER PRICED ONE. AND GRADUATED TO A MORE EXSPENSIVE ONE.BUT DAM THESE QUAD MAKERS NOW ARE ACTING JUST LIKE THE BIG BANKS AND BIG CORP, AND ALSO BIG GOV'T. LOOK ALL QUAD MAKERS. MAKE GOOD AND AFFORDABLE SHIT FOR THE MASSES OF QUAD FLYERS AND U WILL SELL MORE.HOW MANY PEOPLE'S ARE GOING TO REALLY BUY THAT HIGH PRICE ASS QUAD THAT DON'T FILM FOR A LIVING. I DO KNOW THIS MUCH.FOR ANY BODY THAT SELL ANY THING, U DON'T WANT WHAT U ARE SELLING TO BE SITTING,ON THE SHELF, U Want THAT THING U MADE TO BE FLYING OFF THE SHELF'S.BRING THAT PRICE DOWN TO BOUT "700".AND I'LL BET THOSE BABIES RIGHT THERE WILL SELL LIKE A MOTHER. I DANG SHOW WOULD BE IN LINE TO GET ONE OF THOSE.

  2. Seems like you're using thumbs eh? Lots of drone channels out there recommend their viewers to pinch the sticks and I'm not even used to it. I'll better stick with thumbs then.

  3. Yes, it looks really nice – and the controller looks like a superb piece of tech. But, I checked out the specs on their website and for $2499, it should have more than a 1500m (less than a mile) range. I'll pass on this one.

  4. They sure didnt make itfor the average worker just for a small market of folks who have $2500 just burn on a quad. Nice but the price is too high its cool price range for a person who films for a living thou. Not the regular hobbist.

  5. This is exactly why these drones have absolutely no chance to compete with DJI! I mean. who on earth designed that? That remote is bigger than a sea turtle!! Not surprised you loved because you seem to be a specsheet kind of person (meaning in a group of 0.0001%) For guys like me, portability with a killer camera, killer battery life, killer remote with a range of 7km are the kind of stuff I go for. It is not 90's now, we are 3 decades ahead.

  6. It's tough for new companies to compete with DJI. DJI is supported by tons of 3rd party app developers. If you're using a drone like this for business, you have to go with DJI products. I'm in Surveying and mapping for example, and all of the top software that we use supports DJI drones.

So for me, value and cost goes to DJI for both recreation and business. This drone looks nice, but I'm struggling seeing the practicality in any area.

  7. I really, really contemplated buying the XD, but went with the Autel Evo instead. I’m not ready for a $2500 drone yet. ?‍♂️
But I truly can’t wait for my Evo! He he.
    Great review, Captain!

  8. I hope you didn't damage the motors in all that mosture in the air with that new drone, its alot of money. I would have waited till the sun came out…

  9. I will say for a Non-DJI product I am very impressed with this drone. As a camera platform it is very stable and the controller is intimidating. I would love to see this drone filming in a more colorful setting to truly get an impression of that camera. With the Phantom Line being shut down at DJI this may be a viable "large" platform drone to use. Thanks for this great and comprehensive demo.

  10. And one idiotic drone in the marketplace, please, there are reasons why I hate them more and more. Use a spark, mavic and those others in the below £1300. And limit slap limits on the rest. Speed wise, weight and the like and make them only available for professional and responsible pilots. Even those race drone pack a punch when those idiots do stuff for fun.

  11. Wow… I love this drone (and controller). Unfortunately for me, being retired, with one son still in college for 3 more years (followed by seminary), I can think of more apt names for the Evolve as it relates to me:

The Divinity (as it would take an act of God for me to be able to afford it).

    The Unobtainicoptor

The Exhibit #1 (how it would be referred to in the divorce and/or competency proceedings should I purchase it behind my wife's back, expecting the "better to ask for forgiveness…" adage protect me).

Hey, but I can admire it from afar. That is to say, a far, far away afar.

  12. A little too much cash for me , much as ir cost the video should be 8k and 60 fps. Plus too big, they may not sell many of these, jusy my opinion lol , but to each his own .

  13. Great video bro but only problem i can see is, the size. Well it is for me, but looking forward to more of your vids with this done.

  14. …. This drone resembles the Yunnec Typhoon Q 500 … wondering if former Yunnec engineers are behind the design, XDynamics is a Hong Kong ?? base drone maker , just like Yunnec is also base on Hong Kong ??.

    Very impressive controller ….
