Just got the Unify version delivered. I knew the HD version would be a dud. With those motors delivering that output in a 3" I thought there would be issues in the video. I also struggle with going for the HD version when you have props in view – sort of defeats the purpose for me. If I'm spending the extra cash on a HD camera it's got to be a H frame.

I have the caddx hd and I don't like the live picture, the recording is really nice though, it's in the beta85x hd.
If Runcam is watching this they should take the next step to integrate the chip set and SD card into the camera body. If they committed to the intellectual property of this design they would probably leave Caddex and Foxeer behind. We can't let the Black Hornet guys have all the fun

What does the community think of the reliability of the parts (FC ESC motors) in the quad?
I have been building clones of this quad using an Omnibus F4 Nano V6 and Ori32 ESC that works great.
Damnit! I got a fair bit excited when I saw this in my feed. Too bad Diatone missed the mark on this one. Hope they manage to make a new version that doesn't have that horrible jello. And thanks Stu for telling it like it is.
I have the HD Model and the camera is amazing. Not one bit of jello, unless you damage a prop. I just put out 5 new vids, Jello Free!! I love my R349 HD it's so good, couldn't be happier with camera. You must have a dud. Did Trev sit in the props?

I watched a review for the TM-3419 HD, which is the T-Motor version of this model with a runcam split mini. The HD footage was incredible! I would love to see you do a review of the TM-3419 HD to see what you think of it. I would also like to see you do a speed run with it. I know that the 349 is the fastest kwad you have reviewed but I'm thinking that the 3419 might be even faster with those t-motors! I'm curious to find out, aren't you? I really enjoy your reviews, keep it up.

is this the caddix V2 or the V1?? as the V1 suffered from bad jello on the GT349 apparently it was fixed in a firmware update

Great vid Stu. So another commenter said he got a T-motor version with the split mini and vid quality was much better. Did they do a rolling change? Has anyone else gotten the T-motor version? Thoughts??

I have the original 349 before you guys even reviewed it. And i also have the Caddx v2 from my Beta85x which i ended up taken off the 85x because of the performance of the camera as far as the FPV view go's it sucks..The HD recording is pretty good.. I was debating putting the Caddx v2 on the Diatone 349 but i already tried the Caddx v2 on a similar build and it still didnt perform that well…The FPV view still lacked desired results as other none HD fpv cameras. Im thinking of trying the RunCam v2 version of the HD split. Hopefully we can get a decent HD FPV camera soon that performance is on par with gopro quality. And has a good fpv feed that doesnt look like your looking through a white haze!

Mediocre FPV picture plus mediocre HD video? No way. Then my choice still is GT R349 without HD camera. With TBS VTX if possible.
At last I noticed what you did with stock battery connector in your R349-s. Seems I should do the same also because all my 4S batteries already have XT60 connector 🙂

I have a v1 Caddx Turtle and I noticed those weird black lines in the HD footage as well.
I put one of the original Caddix turtles (Turtlet?) on my Rooster and had the same reaction. Horrible. I've tried everything, it's now on the bench getting a new Runcam Split mini V2. From what they say, the newer Caddix Turtle has been improved a lot, but the one I have is crap. 70 bucks down the crapper.
Need more furniture/sound absorb materiale in your studio.
I don't know about the world's fastest production drone, but diatone has the world's fastest customer service for pissing people off. Never again.
