Transcendence – FPV FREESTYLE-DRONE RACING

My goal has been to develop my own style and add a new dynamic to freestyling. Not running a 3D setup and Ill repeat again lol NOT RUNNING A 3D SETUP or Airmode. Its a simple throttle curve on my radio, and Ive been playing around with directional thrusting mixed with throttle management and 55-60 degrees of camera tilt.

January was a very slow month for flying. The weather in Vancouver has been shit and the sunny days have been landing on work days. So I’ve had to resort to playing sims:| I’ve had a lot of these tricks keeping me up at night. So I’m very glad I was able to finally get them on film. These last two days of flying have been the most fun I’ve had in a long time. I was really able to bring life back to my soul and spirit. I would also like to add that I was very inspired by Tom Smith FPV and Skitzo this past month. Those two guys are absolutely killing it right now. Thanks everyone

Now to the LRC X frame:)

I’ve been testing this frame for about a month now. This is a true X frame. All 4 motors are equal distance apart 186mm, ultra light, simple design, and if carrying a Gopro is important to you. The top plate sits on the prop line. This gives you pretty much perfect balance on all 3 axis, with your weight centred on the Z axis. My hats off to Josh Haywood at Liftrc. I told him exactly what I wanted out of this platform and he believed. Was even able to make it look cool:) In the way of flight characteristics I’m just blown away. All my maneuvers when I’m freestyling feel so intuitive. Can also feel how its gonna make racing and flying aggressive that much better. With its weight and balance I feel like I can throw it into any corner at any speed and know exactly what its gonna do. I feel like I have 20% more confidence in my cornering.

  3. Just when you think you've seen all these great pilots like Mr Steele, Thom and others…there's more out there….keep it up man, great video.

  4. This video never gets old. Don't know how many times I have seen it to learn and stuff. Where have you disappeared man?

  5. Damn. Those power loop kinda matty flips are nasty!!! You ride them blind nearly to the ground. Killer. I like your style. Still has a raw feel rather than too perfectly edited. Love it.

  6. this m83 track is such a good choice for your dreamy, floaty and stomach in mouth acro style. Are you going to do anymore videos? I noticed you haven't posted in a while.

  7. Brilliant video. Love the song. Love the flying. Amazing. For those wondering, the song is "Wait" by M83.
I also love towards the end where the sound of the drone fades in. Classic! Simply awesome. You got a sub just from this one video.
