This is why the so called gold edition of modern flagship smartphones are a better choice since you'll be getting the latest spec for that particular year but being alot cheaper and still premium than virtu..
Watches will forever be one of the thing that part of humans that will not going to be obsolete.. Cuz it aint an electronic technology and that will definitely be outdated in a short amount of time
U can buy a 20 dollar casio with more features or u can buy a 500 000 dollar Patek Phillips with just a just a crown,doasnt matter people buy expensive things for their looks not their practicality

There is definately a place for the luxury smartphone. Just not in that price range.

just as it is a dumb ass decision to buy a 50k watch when a watch for 0.01% of that price does the exact same thing and maybe more, it is a dumb ass decision to buy a 50k phone.
lets be clear, no one, absolutely no one decides to NOT buy a vertu and instead buy a conventional phone so they can have a better camera. I own 3 vertus currently, aster onyx, signature touch and aster stingray limited edition…. if i want to get great camera pics…..i use my camera……we buy vertus for the elegance, style, and concierge…….not for camera and specs….besides 3 months after a conventional phone comes out , it'S obsolete. but my vertu concierge , real ruby buttonS and titanium elegance are still beautiful and even still valuable…..

Man I pay 150 -200 dollars for my phones
unless they were one or two years ahead of the other competitors in terms of Specs I don't see anyone buying a phone at that price point. look at Apple they sell overpriced smartphones. that still cost a fraction of the price of the VERTU. and they have been dropping in sales for years and still continue to do so. Because in the tech world you Can't survive on Looks only. you need to have something the others don't have. Like, for instance, more ram. faster Cpu or a better feature set. Samsung just happened to understand all of that. and that is why they became the King of the castle.
They got a list of features longer than Santa's beard, and they got the newest and fastest hardware on the market at an attractive price point. Compare that to apple which have outdated Processors, Lack of RAM. Only recently got some of the features that android have had for years… what I'm trying to say is that unless VERTU were ahead of the competition in terms of hardware features and services. Why spend $50.000 on a phone that would apart from the design be the same as any other phone? i much rather spend $50.000 on feeding poor people and still enjoy my android phone than spend 50k on an outdated smartphone just because its FLASHY. and made of gold.
