  1. The A series been available in Saudi Arabia for a while. I have the A30 it's as big as the s10+ but way cheaper and honestly it surprised me. I highly recommend the A30, A50 and A70. Cheap awesome phones. You guys should put them under your radar.

  2. I own the phone, overall its a good value for your money, especially for the average phone user. IMO for the power user you're going to want to do a lot of changes though. First off install nova launcher, unless you really like Samsung one ui than what ever, it's personal taste but imo a custom launcher is worth it here.

EVERYONE should use the ADB tool to enable the data toggle in quick settings because for some reason samsung doesn't have it enabled even though it's a base feature in android. As far as I can tell you can't block apps individually from using data either which is kind of using.

Also the wifi range is not amazing and in Clash of Clans I frequently get my connection dropped (a good real world test for this as it's an always online game that's fairly sensitive to connectivity drops as compared to something like social media or YouTube which will buffer and preload content)

OEM unlocking doesn't seem to be active in the developer settings, although I've read online samsung seems to just hide this feature for the first 7 days of owning the device for some reason. So you may or may not be able to actually root the phone. I have real problems with this and frankly I believe all phones should be able to easily enable a super user / administrator mode just like on any desktop OS that allows them to do whatever they wish to with the device they payed for.

Also this is mostly just a small gripe but especially where phones now support custom fonts why the hell do I have to be stuck with only the default OS emoji font? I mean seriously especially the default samsung emoji font is awful imo and I'd much rather stock android emojis or stock iOS emojis any day of the week.

Also I'm not sure if I have missed somewhere in the settings but it doesn't seem as though the A70 has support for running apps in split screen mode so that's kind of a downside.

Battery life is really good though! And I've not run out of power during a day even with fairly heavy use. Quick charging is reasonably fast and it also seems to charge fairly fast from a USB C port on a Laptop that's capable of supplying the wattage via the USB C. It still doesn't feel as fast as One Pluses Dash Charging IMO though I had previously used it on a OnePlus 3 which does have a much smaller battery and so most likely feels faster because of it as it was a 20 watt charger, and the A70 uses a 25 watt charger.

But yeah overall decent phone for the money would recommend it but definitely know that it has down sides and definitely needs a bit of customization from stock when you first get it.

Also idk if this is the normal now but fair warning put your sim card in it before you do your set up because I set it up before swapping my sim card and it restarted the phone and comepletely wiped the data on it which was rather frustrating as I've never had a phone that has done that in the past when swapping my sim card.

  3. I've been holding off buying a new phone (currently have an S6 Edge) because of how expensive they are, but this phone I am actually probably gonna go ahead and buy. Thanks Lou!!

  4. Not worth it. Way cheaper phones with way better specs. Maybe if you are a light user but I value performance over anything.

  5. i've got an a70 and im just loving this amazing display and the cameras are not all bad either. I bought it for way less than 450usd and overall its an awesome phone.

  6. the lag in the in display fingerpirnt scanner isnt a big deal if it is secured, that is what matters at least for me. Its good that it has amoled and its half the price of an s10 plus, at least in my country.
