You have to entertain the possibility that gold was massively over-priced in the first place. If bitcoin/crypto becomes the new go-to SOV that marks the end of gold's usefulness as a SOV. For centuries gold was a viable SOV and that was always priced in. Gold seems to be going up in tandem with inflation so its price is pretty much stable. Gold has found its price. Bitcoin hasn't.
