  1. Angry Joe did a much better job covering the story. And with all information coming out, it seems that Disney is at fault here. The previous deal was 95/05% split in Sony's favour for all Solo films, while Disney would still retain all revenue from the crossover films Spidey appears in.

But now Disney tried to push that amount into a 50/50 split for the Solo films, with no advantage for Sony with the crossovers.
Disney also wanted to drop Amy Pascal's producer role (She's employed with Sony) and give sold Producer control to Kevin Feige. (He is employed with Disney)

Basically Disney got greedy and wanted more money.

  2. Me: How did you get Spider-Man back?
Disney: I bought the bank…I mean Sony.
    Me: All of Sony?
Disney: Just Sony Pictures. It’s like a reflex with me. I don’t know.

  3. Sony Just Use Marvel For the Money And for the Cloud So the can take him back Untill Spider-Man Go Back To the Mcu I’m Not Wacth No Sony Spider-Man Movie Look what happen To the Or 2 Sony Spider-Man Movies With Out Marvel

  4. Disney wanted half the money and on top of it doesn't give Sony any of the merchandising money and or anything else. That would be a dumb business movie by Sony. Oh and I guess people must have hated Into the Spiderverse then. Sony made that film and it won a Oscar. Tobey first two Spiderman and Venom were all Sony too. So people need to quit the Sony makes bad Spidey films. They only had two lackluster ones Spiderman 3 and Amazing Spiderman 2. Amazing Spiderman 2 still had great acting though.

  5. How y’all watch the video but still saying Disney. Disney owns marvel but Marvel wanted 50% cuz they’re only making 5% from Sony’s 95% from the Spider-Man movies.

  6. Thats honestly heartbreaking, Tom holland was the perfect imagination of what spiderman would look like in real life for stan lee. I dont think stan le can rest in peace anymore…

  7. This is because Disney played hardball, ignoring the old deal where SONY would keep all the profits from solo Spider-Man movies if the character could be used in crossovers for one with a 50/50 revenue split. It seems greedy of Disney to alter the deal but it was foolish to prey they wouldn't alter it any further.

  8. This is seriously the worst news I’ve heard all year. Spider-Man doctor strange and black panther are the only reasons I’m looking forward to the future of the mcu

  9. I feel like it was Disney that was being greedy. Their current deal was fine. Sony gets all the earnings from solo movies and Disney from all the crossovers. Why did Disney have to ask for 50% of earnings?

  10. Boo put spiderman back to MCU bastards I enjoy seeing spiderman back to MCU what are you too cheap Sony if you can't keep him on we'll stop watching spiderman movies

  11. People are mad at Sony but they didn’t do anything wrong. They are just sticking to the original deal that the two studios agreed on. Disney’s getting greedy.

  12. See I told y’all, Sony never really cared about crossplay.
What? This isn’t about Xbox and PlayStation crossplay you say?
Spider-Man is being taken away from the MCU…….
See I told y’all Sony never cared about crossplay OR crossovers.

  13. On the negative side, Spider-Man left the MCU on such a cliffhanger.

On the plus side, a Spider-Man vs Venom movie now seems more possible than ever (please have Tom vs Tom).
