  1. I find this review very missleading.
If you say it can fly at night because it has a flashlight then test it at night. I bet you won't be able to pick up anyting significant on the camera even with the light turned on and how is the sensor on the bottom supposed to work in the dark?
Even if you can use it as a standalone recorder no one in their right mind would use that feature. Better use the power bank feature to power your phone and take pictures and video with it as modern phones have far superior cameras than this. And if you have the spare coin to buy a toy like this then I bet you have a nice phone that shoots better video than this drone does.

  2. Pretty kool, this has alot of good possibilities, flashlight, able to charge your phone,or fly, also some night flying with a navigation light,I'm impressed for a cheap drone.

  3. kinda cool drone and concept, love how small it appears to get.. imagine same drone equally as light but with brushless motors and GPS and better image stabilization and camera.

  4. Definitely different! Always great to see the different types of drones—they have to do something to set themselves apart.

  5. Hi. I took your advice and bought the Helifar drone for my grand daughter. It works very well and she is delighted with it. It`s a feather in your cap, your input has made a little girl very happy, you can be proud of that. My sincere thanks for your help.

  6. LOL – "…and the camera is not that bad!"
It is almost usable, but mixed with footage from a GoPro or DSLR set at 1080P, it will be noticeably different.
    Cool design otherwise.

  7. I got this drone from Amazon for $65 during a Holy Stone back to school sale. They also sent me a free battery for it for writing a review. I like the drone but sometimes it seems to have a mind of it's own. I took it outside tonight with no wind and it was all over the place. Crashed it twice, once hard enough to pop out the sd card. Mine doesn't beep like that during flight unless the battery is getting low. The battery for me seems to last for about 5min if recording and flying at higher speeds.

  8. Hello Captain drone I have a HS161 drone too and your are absolutely correct great flyer shows really good photo and video and so stable, I’ve named it the survival Drone because of the features this drone has. Say your out is the woods and lost it has a flashlight to see where your going and a power banks for charging your phone but if you need a better perspective of where you are you can take the HS161 up to see the area better this is why I named this one the survival drone

  9. I have to say that the motors would give me reason to be concerned. They appear to be "ring and pinion" brushed motors and as a general rule those don't last long. You end up with all sorts of gear lash issues with repeated usage.
