8 NEW Ram Models: Reviewing Best American Trucks of 2020




In 2020 Ram celebrates its tenth anniversary as an independent brand within Fiat-Chrysler Group, but regardless of the young age alongside Jeep they manage to keep the conglomerate afloat in North America. #1 2020 Ram 1500 Night Edition

2020 Ram 1500 Night Edition package is available exclusively on Big Horn and Laramie trims. It adds new black badging and blacked out grille, wheels, and exhaust tips. The package does not limit the exterior paints to dark shades, allowing the customers choose contrasting colors, including new Hydro Blue, RV Match Walnut Brown, and Olive Green.

#2 2019 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty

The number of updates that the Ram Heavy Duty trucks line survived this year would be enough to launch a new model. The 2019 Ram 2500 HD received a new frame made of 98% high-strength steel with refined suspension settings, an all-new optional diesel mill, standard security tech, and updated exterior design.

#3 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel

For the 2020 model year, Ram is not going out on limb, sticking to minor revisions for their 5th generation 1500 model. And most of them are focused on updating the off-road capable 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel. The pickup gets revised exterior graphics, Black Appearance package, and more standard features.

#4 2019 Dodge Ram 3500 Heavy Duty

2019 Dodge Ram 3500 Heavy Duty is easy to recognize by its new exterior, as for the first time in 25 years, RAM refused the characteristic stepped front with the side panels visually separated from the hood. The highlight of the 3500 model is the boosted 6.7L Cummins turbo-diesel, which in combination with a six-speed transmission nets 400 horses and 1000 lb-ft of torque and can tow colossal 35,100 lbs.

#5 2020 Ram Promaster City

Typically unknown to the average consumer, this compact workhorse by RAM is much appreciated by small business owners, people of trade and still numerous fans of minivans. The Promaster City was last facelifted in 2019 receiving a new front fascia and some tech upgrades.

#6 2019 Ram Chassis Cab

Being a part of the company’s Commercial branch, Ram Chassis Cabs are not typically bought for daily driving from point A to B, but instead are used by business owners in a variety of fields, as irreplaceable day-to-day workhorses. In 2020, they add lane-keep assist, adaptive steering, and a new vehicle-tracking system.

#7 2020 Ram Promaster
Since 2013 the Italian cargo van Fiat Ducato has been sold in the US under the Ram Promaster moniker, but to be fair, it is powered by the Chrysler engineered 3.6L V6 and a 6-speed auto combo. Along with its smaller sibling, the van received a facelift in 2019 to fit the company’s newfound design strategy. The cargo van has three.

#8 2020 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel

Among other novelties introduced by the FCA this year is an all-new EcoDiesel engine for their 1500 truck. Significantly reworked since the latest emissions scandal, the 3.0L V6 an output bump and now produces 260 horsepower and class-leading torque of 480 lb-ft.
