  1. Both decisions made by VAR that day were dead right. Origi was faking it big time and holding the wrong leg while acting and Mane's goal was a clear handball

  2. It’s a contact sport, they’re men, clearly the referees are bored of the Liverpool players diving to win games week in week out, it’s embarrassing. The fact origi was holding the wrong leg after the challenge says it all.

  3. The thing is var isn’t the ref it is not var refing the game it’s the referee. Var is there to help the ref when a foul has been comited in the box or outside the box just before a goal a bit like in rugby. In rugby they use it when the ref has seen something but want to make sure of it like a yellow or red card or a true. In football the ref should use var when he has seen a dangerous challenge or when he wants to check for a goal. In this case he doesn’t see the foul + it doesn’t seem like Man U where gonna get anything out of it but they got a goal a few moments later. So I think it was a foul and should of been a disallowed goal but the referee stood by his decision instead of going to var. otherwise we should just have var referee the game

  4. In general, I like these games to be tough and not the referee to blow for every contact. What I personally think happened is that Atkinson saw it, he thought the contact wasn't that big, Lindeløf gives Origi a small kick on the left leg, yet both of Origi legs collaps as if he had been shot, which might suggest he allready was on his way down for no reason. Atkinson feels Origi is overplaying it and doesn't buy it.

  5. But no one was complaining about the ref they were complaining because var looked at it and said it wasn't a foul. Var isn't the problem though the problem is they want to pretend that refs never make mistakes which is stupid and not new hence why players and managers get fined if they say anything about a bad decision.

  6. The problem is the referee told VAR that he thought it wasn't a foul.
If he had said he hadn't seen it, VAR would have been forced to make the decision.
Instead VAR decided the Ref did not make a clear and obvious error so allowed play on.

  7. Are we still banging on about this FFS. Boo hoo a decision went against Liverpool for a change. Just like they do to every other team in the league at some point throughout the season. Where was Carra's VR headset when Mane went down like he'd been shot for the penalty against Leicester the other week. Take the draw, shut up about it and move on. This is just a waste of everyone's time
