I felt the same way while completing the campaign, I knew when IW said this game "wasn't gonna be political" that the campaign wouldn't really have much weight, story-wise, but it is presented amazingly, and the gameplay is still fun.

Well I beat the call of duty modern warfare and personally I don’t know how I feel but I do like it’s a prequel to the other modern warfare game but I felt this game was rushed into production with the bugs and glitches that I saw while playing. But I do like the realism of the gameplay and the graphics are stunning for 4K and sound is great to. But overall it is a pretty good kick into rebooting the modern warfare series and I will be playing more to come.
