Love your reviews ali – Let me just start by saying that I have no Endorsement or am a Representative of MJX in anyway – I am purely using this Quad as a comparison to all these garbage clones out there. I think all these so called clones should be given a whole lot more consideration while in the design and testing stage. Heres why: – The reason I say this is for example – If they can pack all those available features into say a BUGS 2C or BW minus the camera ( which is easily fixed with an external CAM ) then why the hell are they designing these pieces of garbage that look absolutely fantastic but fly like a $10 toy? Why cant they put decent features inside then release their "Clones" – people would buy them knowing they are getting good hobby grade quality – I mean, The BUGS 2 series has a range of over 1000mtrs as you are well aware etc – Surely for another $100 or so these manufactures could have quite serious contenders as far as "Clones" go. An example of good "Cloning" would be when the Go-Pro Patent date expired. What happened? 100's of models out there available for a fraction of the price. I agree some are absolute rubbish but there are some very serious knock offs that are sometimes even better quality than the older GoPro's – I just hope one day these guys pull their finger out and do it properly if they are going to do it at all. I mean no disrespect to anybody or any company , as I thought I would just have a rant on the matter. I lost a small one yesterday as the result of the return home function. Tested the little guy and was doing fine with control and kept the flight was at altitude hold for a moment. Time to try the auto return and the dude was starting fly away until I lost signal. A suggestion for everyone is "Do not send the 15minutes flight to China". Use manual return.
There is no compass in these toy quads (thus no compass calibration needed) …and the return to home works by flying back 180 degrees from the starting orientation at takeoff (so it will only come back to you if it is exactly straight ahead or behind, otherwise it returns on a parallel course) it does this using the gyros which can also loose accuracy after random flying around. Not much use at all and the headless mode is only good for panning shots…

Absolutely great performance by that mavic pro knock off. However I'm looking for something in that arena. It'll be 4 indoor use majority of the time. However I have had no luck finding a quad with altitude hold, fpv camera and easy to manuver indoors catch videos and pics. Would you be so kind as to advise which type of drone might have such features that would fufill my needs. I kindly thank you for any assistance you may render. Thank you Sir !
