  1. I am not into this review! I think if you were always into Star Trek you would know that TNG was a slower paced show, it was more about the story versus DS9 which was more action and battle focused. The only thing I am not a fan of is the uniforms and the new ship.

  2. Let's be honest, some people think they can watch an 8 minute YouTube summary of both the STTNG series and movies, and know what they're talking about. There are also others who started watching when the series originally aired, and have been watching it and the films over and over again since then. I'm not saying the reviewer is one of the former, and I mean no offense when I say this, but I suspect he also isn't one of the latter.

  3. This needs a more slower pace it should have a had a ship with 20 minutes of beauty shots no action just pulling out , then a magic conference room meeting where they solve the problem of getting the right food for the romulain ambassador. Then a subplot about one of the crew members getting a pet worm. Now that’s Star Trek! Less action more talking at least 90 percent of the episode should be talking about earl grey tea and where it came from! That’s how I like my Star Trek really frickin boring #hateroftrek #hatefulfan #neverhappyfan #over40fanboy

  4. I think Picard as a character changed from the end of Next Generation (that "Q" episode) to the end of "Star Trek: Nemesis" in 2002. You can't just skip ahead to the pilot episode of "Picard" without taking into account his personal triumph over the Borg in "Star Trek: First Contact" and his personal tragedies in "Star Trek: Nemesis".

  5. Disagree with this "review". I feel some of today's viewers expect everything to be laid out in the first episode, having gotten used to have the entire season available at once. I thought the episode brilliant, and a worthy addition to ST:TNG

  6. As someone who grew up watching TNG and loving it, I'm pleased that this is not a re-tread of that show. This appears to be more thoughtful, slower paced and nuanced. Taking time to establish both the characters and setting which is crucial. I'm interested to see where this goes……
