5. Looking at the speed I thought, there are drives that can match 3.5GB/s over thunderbolt 3 . But it's not about speed it's about the ruggedness too. Overall it's a good product if you need ruggedness. otherwise built it yourself and you can have a cheap, fast and small drive than this one.

7. Great speed on thunderbolt 3 even with that premium price tag. I’d love to see you test it out via USB3. I have yet to upgrade to a new MacBook Pro with the USBC as it’s all about the $$$ so I’m sticking with my USB3 for longer but could use that type of speed.
