How to SOLO practice for FPV Drone Racing

Now that the weather is FINALLY starting to turn around a little bit, I was able to actually get out and fly a track for a few minutes. I’ve spent so much time lately working on cine drones and freestyle and all this stuff, that I was just glad to finally get out and just burn a few batteries. I can’t wait to go out for more, and I hope to get some friends to join me next time, but for now this will definitely hold me over.

  1. Great video! You are a dedicated athlete. Just curious, why do you do little throttle pumps when loitering/hovering? I've noticed other skilled pilots do the same thing.

  2. It is definitely practice time. I already had a few good weeks of practice in getting ready for mayhem but it got canceled and I’m still practicing. I’ve actually been hitting the 4’ side of my quaddiction gates more than I ever have the past 2 years. I’ve put in so many packs the lst month that 5’ gates now seem huge. Heck on the 4th’ side it now feels like I’m flying a toothpick thru it lol. Practice makes perfect.

  3. I've been putting in a bunch of time on Velocidrone since Thanksgiving last year. I realized my lines were not very efficient, so I'm training my brain to take shorter lines! The Quarantine Master Series races have really been helping with my race nerves too.
