  1. The grater/slicer one seems to just overcomplicate the original invention, as Norwegians tend to be proud that it was invented here, the slicer part that is, ostehøvel.

  2. I have the fondoodler, but have never used it. Wondering how well it works with the other recommended ammunition (marshmallows).

  3. You'll never get a nice thin slice of cheese with a knife. The Norwegian cheese-plainer is the best tool for hard cheese. The most fun chese slicer makes a wavy slice of cheese. Those are the best for brown cheese

  4. I own #3 or as we call it The cheese guillotine! It takes a bit getting used to it, but once you do it's great! With thr block you used you can also slice it long ways top to bottom for a large slice which is what we do for grilled cheese. Regardless I'm shocked you gave it such a low rating. You need to work with it a little more and get used to it. I have really bad arthritis I'm my hands and this makes it super easy to cut cheese.

  5. I don’t know if she still has it but my mother used to have a cutting board specifically for cheese that had an attached blade that went up and down across the board. So you would push the cheese along the board as you cut. I loved slicing cheese as a kid because of that thing, and I remember being so happy when my mother let me use it for the first time once I was old enough 😋
