  1. The Amazon Reviews are horrendous! The drone is herky-jerky, the range is terrible and not what they advertise and the Avoidance system is so aggressive that the drone freezes up when it is 25 ft. from an obstacle! Good Luck with all that Aldryn….gonna sell my Mavic Air 2 soon and get a Skydio 2….

  2. sensor size and quality trumps pixel density. 8k video is just silly, good for photographs tho if you decide to zoom in and print just a portion of a pic. 2k slo mo is awsome too actually.

  3. Thanks for helping me transfer from Yuneec to a real drone bro! Those pics you took are ???????????????? iG @picsmiths

  4. DJI lens is much better at all resolutions. 4k DJI image is much better than the 8k EVO. Lens quality is the most important factor in image quality. EVO should partner with Zeiss or some other name lens manufacture to improve its lens design. What's the point of 8k , if it's mush. I'll stick with the Mavic for now. Too bad. I was GAS'n for this one. Looks cool too and the interchangeable camera is a plus.

  5. I owned the Autel Evo II Pro for two weeks before it crashed on its own catastrophically. I am a seasoned pilot with at least 50 hours flying time with DJI drones and about 4-5 hours with this particular drone. From the beginning the drone didn't live up to a single standard that the company claims. The 45mph speed is (in my experience under multiple calm conditions) unachievable. The 9km distance they tout, is absolutely false…the best I ever did under optimum conditions in an open field without obstacles was about 4,500-5,000 feet (1.5km). The drone is relatively unstable in flying, I read one comment from a very prominent drone pilot that states it flies like a brick…it does. As much as I don't like DJI's practices and money-grubbing, their drones are the best. I should've never switched. Autel had attractive features and no geo-fencing. After my drone disconnected at less than 2,000 feet in a loosely dense urban area with no buildings exceeding 15 floors or so, it proceeded to return to home and fly directly into a building. I have video from the incident as well as a screen shot before it crashed showing the ambient light was quite sufficient. The ambient light in (this downtown) was sufficient enough to see a building several blocks away in the background and recognize which one it was. DO NOT BUY THESE DRONES! Do some research and despite their claims they're all false. The battery that came with the drone along with the additional one I purchased are rated at 40 minutes flight time. I understand this is under optimal conditions, but never did either come close to that figure upon turning on the drone with a fresh full charge…it was more like 33-34 minutes (stated on the remote app) and even then it was overstated while flying at 22mph with winds at less than 2-4mph. If you want a further honest review of the drone please visit my page.

  6. I bought an Autel X Star a couple years back because it seemed similar to DJI but was a little cheaper. BIG MISTAKE. Autel is a small company that doesn't support their product line. They discontinued the battery after they came out with their new drone line. If they come out with a new version and your Autel drone battery dies might as well through the drone in the garbage. Meanwhile you can get DJI replacement batteries on the after market.

  7. Seeing this comparison is so encouraging for the future of this industry. Things will only get better for us consumers! The Evo2's swappable camera is a huge plus for me along with Autel's amazing intelligent flight features. Then again the Mavic Air 2 is cheaper and seems to yield naturally crisper footage than the 8k camera (or maybe I don't have the sensory capacity to enjoy 8k?). As a footnote, super happy someone else shares my misgivings about the Evo glossy plastic. Purely an aesthetic issue for me but still one that bothers me.

  8. Hi there

I am really inspired by your drone review video.

I have been piloting drone since 3 to 4 years and I had several drones. But for two years I have been piloting Parrot Bebob 2. I really don't like apple products because of overpriced.
Now I am planning to buy another one with 4K footage. Could you please guide me which is the best under $1000.00/=

  9. I enjoy your reviews, now the EVO II drifting to the left and when shooting a video the front left proppeller shows on your video. Autel needs to address this problem plus way over priced.
