In 2021 both Volvo and its performance subbrand Polestar, are readjusting the goals on the horizon and pledge to make sure that every car they sell by 2030 is fully electric. This initiative has already yielded the first fruit, since every single model of the brand could be bought with some sort of electrification. Today we will review the freshest lineup introductions by the Swedes as well as mention the improvements that our favorites are getting.

#1 2021 Volvo C40 Recharge

2021 Volvo C40 Recharge chops off the rear roof section of the XC40 Recharge crossover, creating the highly-craved coupe-SUV shape. Upfront, the face of the C40 features a slightly restyled closed off grille, while the rear houses a small spoiler and new taillights with a different light signature.

#2 2021 Volvo P1800 Cyan

Founded in 1996, Cyan Racing is a motorsports-dedicated company that develops cars for Volvo, Lynk and Co and Lotus, competing with them in multiple race championships. In 2017, the team won its first World TCR title with Volvo, and this year, they are releasing a special-edition P1800 Cyan model, paying tribute to this event, as well as the brands racing history.

#3 2021 Polestar 2

If the Volvo branded all-electric XC40 and C40 models are going after a more restrained buyer who is mostly seeking Swedish serenity and safety, their platform twin, Polestar 2 fastback, aspires for performance.

#4 2021 Volvo XC60

Like your smartphone but bigger, this is the new tagline for Volvo’s most successful market offering, the compact crossover Volvo XC60.

#5 2021 Volvo S90

Launched as a 2017 model, the S90 premium sedan occupies the flagship position in Volvo’s passenger car lineup. This year, it arrives slightly freshened up: the most attentive eyes should notice a new grille, fog lights, reshaped spoiler and revised wheels.

#6 2021 Volvo XC40 Recharge

The all-electric Volvo XC40 Recharge is the first foray of Volvo onto the all-electric field and could be called an older brother of the aforementioned C40 Recharge. This newcomer is already on sale across all major markets lets discuss the actual configurator of the car.

#7 2021 Polestar 1

The Polestar 1 coupe introduces the Swedish performance brand to the segment of limited-edition supercars. The planned release was capped at 1500 units produced throughout three model years.

#8 2021 Volvo V90 and V90 Cross Country

Refreshed alongside the entire 90 family, the 2021 Volvo V90 wagon gets a couple of exterior tweaks, improved cabin filtration system, and a new Bowers & Wilkins Audio system.

#9 2021 Volvo XC90

One of the most technologically advanced mid-size SUVs on the market becomes even more attractive in 2021. Now, the entry-level XC90 gets standard adaptive LED headlights with automatic high beams, power-folding side mirrors, front park assist and wireless charging.

#10 Polestar Precept

The Volvo’s independent subsidiary has officially confirmed that the last year’s Precept Concept will go into production in 2023. The company still hides literally all the details about their futuristic luxury sedan, but for its assembly Volvo will built a new fully carbon neutral factory.

  1. the VOLVO P1800 Cyan isn't worth €482,000 (USD$500,000)!!! not even close to half a million USD!!! just don't understand the supercharging & turbocharging the same engine in the VOLVO Polestar 1!!! not a feasible option considering the tremendous wear & tear this engine will have to endure from such monumental level of continuous combustion inside the engine block!!!!!! practically speaking supercharging & turbocharging the same engine isn't a very reliable option regardless of the inherent design & engineering!!! an all electric VOLVO Polestar One AWD + 1.0 in. Lift 93 kWh i-POWER 2-Dr Sport Touring Coupe (RHD) would be best!!!
