  1. I used to play video games when I got tooth extraction and helped me get through the pain after the pain meds wore off.

  2. I've had a few people I know ask why I can play video games for hours when I get irritable after one or two doing other things with friends ever since I started really suffering chronic pain. It's because video games are so much more distracting. I can do things there I can't do anymore because of injuries. I tried VR in a store on the tail end of needing a cane and forgot to use my cane after using VR for only about five minutes. I'm hoping my friends will help me get a VR game system soonish. I think it has the potential to do wonders even in fighting depression and anxiety.

  3. In the future we will all be in hospital beds, with IVs and feeding tubes hooked up as we live our life through simulations
