  1. Dont buy any JJRC brushless for now, Mine has issues couldn't fly more than 5-10 ft away, any further itd act like it wasnt responding to the controls, within 5-10ft 100% responsive..then I had a ESC go out, so cant fly it at all now..4 in 1 ESC that is easy to blow out, faulty TX remote, just so many issues…when I see videos of people flying these with success it makes me wonder if the QC is about 50/50 on these from the factory or what happened. Alot of fly aways and issues.

  2. transitioning from beginner to intermediate level, what would you recommend for my first brushless quad – xk x251 or jjrc x1? they're both on the same price range and got good reviews from you. thanks!

  3. Man!!! Why the heck did I waste my money for Syma X5SW, Camera burnt off in two weeks, motor died on the 31st flight, 360 drains the reduces flight time in 2 mins. i bought it cz it's a bagpack drone and I was wrong cz it's a bitch for the lightest breeze.

  4. I have just received this quadcopter, and I notice some changes from the "old" version you have reviewed.
Now does flips and lights now are much more visibile. yaw sometimes it's still laggy, but since this is my fisrt brushless quad it's ok

  5. Just got the x1 and it bound right up and flew good for about 60 secs
then for no reason at all, it just started spinning super fast in the
air and shot off spinning about 50 meters away before it crashed. It
would not respond at all to the transmitter, when it started spinning, I
cut the throttle, but it acted like I had gave it full throttle, and
just shot off like a rocket out of control. When it crashed it went down
hard, and broke one of the front arms. I super glued it back on and it
binds fine and props spin, so I tried it again and it flew fine again,
but about 30 sec. into flight it did the same thing, but this time it
shot straight up before it started spinning like it had a mind of its
own. Anyone have any idea what might be the problem?

  6. Hello friend!
I have a Phantom 3 but I would like to have a brushless quadcopter for fun. I have seen some comparisons between Jjr x 1 and Xk x251. Although the opinions on videos put x251 over jjrc, x251 is not available in my favorite site.Is it the Jjrc x1 a good choice or I should wait for the x251?

    Thanks

  7. You do really good videos and are very informative. I am from CT and wish I had the weather you have to fly drones!
Thank you. I have a bunch of toy quads and a CX20 brushless which i love.

  8. would you recommend this as a filming setup, I have been searching for a quad that has brushless motors, and will last a long time without anything breaking and I dont want to spend over 250 dollars, would you recommend this or something else

  9. Hello Quadcopter 101 and others. I have a question about breaking in the brushless motors used on Multi-Rorors.

I've been thinking seriousl;y about making the plunge into a brushless motor quad, with the two main competitors the JJRC X1, and the XK X251. I'll most likley go for one or the other for my first brushless motored quadcopter; and am leaning toward the XK mainly because of the more hobby grade transmitter than it comes with, the "Devo 7".

I've been flying all brushed motored quads for a while now, and pride myself in taking great care to "break in" the brushed motors, particularly on the bigger ones like the "Tarantula X16, JJRC H26, Syma X8C, Huajun W606-3, etc. I even do so on my smaller ones like the JJRC H20, Floureon H101, etc.

My question is do I have to break in the motors on a brushless motored quad? I would think not due to it not having any brushes to come in contact with the commutator, hence no friction wear between the two parts. Perhaps I am missing something that I'm not aware of and that it may be necessary to break in said motors. If it is advisable to do so, do you use the same procedure as bushed motors by running them at a slow speed for 2-3 minutes or so, or is there any procedure or method to undertake their break in function?

Any information or advice from you or anyone else will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any information on the subject.

    Very best regards,
    Joe Cro

  10. Hi Quadcopter 101, I was wondering what drone i should get JJRC x1 or syma x8c? Im looking for a long range drone 100m+ and that is large. I love the syma x8c and its camera with its awsome features and very good price tag. But im not too sure if i should get a JJRC x1 as i do want kinda a fast maneuvarable quad with long range. Oh and I do want to take good video so the syma seemed good at that, my budget is $100 Please help many thanks! 🙂
