  1. This is the first review I've seen point out the "sent a photo" issue. Is that app specific or can the watch not receive MMS images? I'm thinking about upgrading from my Active2 but I'd hate to see a downgrade in some of the everyday features I use.

  2. No thanks, I stick with my Amazfit Bip's average 30 day battery life, yeah its lower end watch with less features but Im happy with it. Tell me ehat watch gives you an average of around 30 days battery life?

  3. I wanted to upgrade from my Huawei Gt2.. went for the top version of this watch only to realize I can't use ECG with non-samsung phones.. and the battery… awful.. coming from a 10-14 days battery to this.. not nice at all! So i will send this back.. and hope for Xiaomi to bring us ecg and wos3

  4. Since my GearS2, I am still waiting for the day when Android watches do all you'd expect on a mini smartphone strapped to your wrist. This is finally a promising step. One or two more years to get there and I'll join the wagon again; after your approval that is?

  5. 8:34 …meanwhile Telegram cancels their Wear OS version in their latest update. I didn't heed your suggestion to hold off on ordering, because I acted before your recommendation. I expected a flurry of new apps and updates, but not this kind of development.

  6. It all seems like Wear OS 3 is… actually Tizen.

Tizen could run Android apps and Wear OS was Android. That the UI is almost identical to Samsung's previous Tizen watches, that the watch uses the Galaxy Wearables app, that some of the apps don't recognise the bezel, and that some Google apps aren't available yet all points in that direction.

Sure, Samsung could well have optimised their watch apps and updated their phone apps. But other than watch apps they had a very stable and strong platform. Google on the other hand had a right dog's dinner, but had the apps.

But hey, maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree.

  7. Auto like before I even watch the video cause I know it's top quality.
waiting for my watch 4 to come tmr, I guess I will have to order a new strap starting now HA

  8. I just checked Samsung's website, and they are now giving options for a "Ridge Sport" and "Hybrid Leather" bands. Sucks that the classic one comes standard with sport band, which I pre-ordered.

  9. Well after wearing the horrible bands for the digimon vital bracelets, I never complained about cheap bands ever again…though it is a fitness toy to begin with (which are targetted for all ages)

  10. I'm very torn about which GW4 to get. I love the pink color, but that's only on the "sporty" model, and only smallest size. I like the idea of the physical bezel ring and navigating with it, but I don't really like that they have the numbers alongside the bezel.

  11. In all other smartwatch reviews you didn't recomend buying any of those watches untill Samsung launches it's new watches. Now that they did you don't recomend buying the Watch 4 untill others release theirs….

  12. 5:02 That actually sounds bad if there isn't an option to manually do it, for people that have a lot of apps on the phone, automatically downloading them on to the watch, would mean the watch gets it's storage filled up instantly.

  13. I wouldn't hold off on getting one of your looking for a Wear OS/Samsung Smartwatch. It's already better then previous watches. It has more support already and offers more then previous Samsung watches and Wear OS watches. It's only going to get better.

Yes there's some growing pains with the two working together. Tizen was great but lacked app support. Wear OS was ok. Now you have the best of both worlds.

  14. I received my Watch 4 40mm 2 weeks ago and I’m in love with it. Yeah it’s still new and I would say that’s why it’s exciting ! There’s a lot to come in the future to enhence user experience given Samsung is a global brand that knows how to make good smartwaches. You’re right MrMobile, the original strap is a nightmare to take out and put back and the piece that fills the corners is not great and it reduces the flexibility of the band, especially on smaller wrists like mines but it fits me. I like to switch band, from a brown leather one for a more elegant look to a silicone one when I go swimming several times a week. I went for the Watch 4 with the digital royating bezel coming from an OG Watch Active that I traded-in and I’m used to rotating my finger around the screen and I wanted the smallest watch possible and the Watch 4 is it. I’m waiting for more apps but one thing I got to admit is I love the Shazam app to quickly, without taking out your phone, identify a song. Thanks for your review ans I hope you’ll make some more videos on the evolution of this new OS and its new releases of apps.

  15. Mmm… 20mm band is pretty common among watches. WTH? You can easily buy in any watch store just a regular band for regular watches and it'll work for Samsung Watches. 20 mm band is a smart decision, actually.

  16. Bought a "smart" watch today, a mini Casio retro watch. Shows the date and time, even has an alarm and a battery that should last for a few years, fancy enough for me, lol. Definitely smart compared to my old analog watch. Maybe in 10 years smart watches will have a better battery life than 2 days.

  17. Finally the review I was waiting for since it's launch. You did it again Mr. Mobile.
You are my watch guy, next to Dace2D the laptop guy and MKBHD the dope tech guy.

  18. Without MST it feels like a downgrade I won't be upgrading from my gear S3 until mobile payments are accepted at all my usual shopping destinations. Nothing beats the "oh wow" you get when the cashier smugly stares you down and says they don't take mobile payments and I swipe my wrist and say you do now.

  19. It sounds as though majority of the issues with the watch (apart from the bands and possibly battery life) is software oriented. Hopefully they can be addressed as more people get the watch.

I've got included in my phone deal.
