  1. ★★★ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE VIDEO / FACT UPDATES ★★★

    1) Is the Omni One Available Now? – No it's not, it's still a Prototype / in Alpha Development, the company says they will be in Beta Development in early 2022 and be shipping orders later in 2022.

    2) Is the vest one size fits all? – No, the Omni One vest will come in three sizes: S, M, L. The vest can be easily swapped out for another size.

    3) Is there a weight or height limit on the platform (I wanted to know this answer myself) – As for max weight limit on the Omni One, since it’s still in development, they haven't finalized its specs yet. However, as a reference, the original Omni has a player weight limit of 285lbs (130kg) and player height range from 4’2” (127cm) to 6’5” (195cm).

  2. Really stupid that they are trying to create their own private ecosystem for games.. they are disconnected from gamers if they think that will work.. making 'their own call of duty'. LOL. Yeah umm… it doesnt work like that. People want call of duty, not a game 'like' call of duty. Not that this company could pull off making AAA games.. they cost 10's of millions to make and thats for experienced and well setup game studios. Focus on the hardware.. leave the software to be open source and allow it used on any platform.

  3. It's taken a long time to get a feedback 360 immersive experience but it's getting there.kinda like VHS vs betamax back in the 80s there will be rival companies making these better and better but there will be one system that will be in every home within 10 years. The sliding plastic is ok for now and a cheap alternative to full running on belts but this system will have to be upgraded for now it keeps the cost down. The jacket that you zip into and holds you up with rear bracket 360 movement..nice..to really play be games the body will need catered for just as the mind has been given pretty good immersion with pc and psvr.

  4. This was advertised 5 years ago!
    Yet its still not out.
It was sorta cool back then but now its outdated.
People will want something better than this as its been the same method for 5 YEARS.
I have waited to long to care.
By the time they actually allow it to be purchased or obtained without hassle, there will be a new type of locomotion thats way better than this.
    Such a shame.
If they had a funtioning version FIVE YEARS AGO, than they should have mass produced it FIVE YEARS AGO. They killed the product by not doing anything with it.
I would have purchased one back then as it would have been awesome but now in 2021 there will just be better methods than this.
    Dont waste your money.

  5. What is this a treadmill for ants? It needs to be at least three times as big. How are the children supposed to run if they can’t even fit in the harness?

  6. The video showed with the guy jumping and stuff was proven in other videos to be pre recorded as the movements the guy was doing were not the same shown on the screen behind him. They also require a subscription that only allows you to play games on their store front. Lastly they tried to get the funding through crowd funding which required you to purchase $1000 in stock and that still only gave you a small discount when purchasing the system. If that doesn't scream out to you as a massive scam then buy it and let me know how it is.

  7. This is pretty cool, especially if we paired it with open world games, but me being me I probably would tire out in the first 10 minutes

  8. I mean.. one solution to stop bashing your head against a wall in VR is to enable guardian, it is specifically made for that.

Not saying that omni doesn't look cool, but yea.. a bit odd to act like that is a big issue

  9. Bruh, I'm 6'4", and 300lbs, I would crush this fucker in minutes. This could probably be better with a smarter tracking vest and a larger running platform. Points for creativity though.

  10. The best way to use this would unquestionably be to buy the "dev kit" that is only $995 and keep using steam, because screw their proprietary store and having to re-buy things I already own… For half the cost I can use it with the headset I already have, and the games I already have, for a much lower overall price.

  11. As soon as I heard it has its own store I immediately lost interest. You mean to tell me I pay 2 grand and can only play the limited selection they've pre approved??

  12. Has anyone heard anything about the $15/month subscription service? It's my biggest turn-off if they make that a requirement to use basic functions. Also, it seems like they had a major price increase to $2,295 (the same price as a Peloton according to their website).

In my opinion, they seem to be making a big mistake by marketing this as a competing exercise device rather than a gaming peripheral. Especially when they say their target audience is "Gamers". It doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the company since they don't even seem to know what they want their product to be.

  13. So about 19k people viewed this. I guess it means its worth my time to try to make an epic cheap one. I'm guessing $1k will be a fair price
