  1. I miss the old characterful Estelle's and Rapids. These are just rebadged VWs and no longer affordable . You also missed off Renault from your list of oldest manufacturers.

  2. You write Škoda, but still pronounce Skoda. Why?! This is just one simple word. Why do we have to mispronounce everything non-English when speaking in English? Come on, you can do better than that! 😉

Bought a 9 month old demo Octavia Vrs back in 2002, at the time, as a car for business it was perfect, mpg was great and following an Owen Motorsport remap it made 240bhp at the crank and wearing Pilot Sports, it was quicker than most things at the time. Then in 2006 I got the mk2 Octavia Vrs estate, again great mpg, however by that point, it was not particularly quick alongside the competition. I loved the fact some folks displayed badge snobbery, made me love them all the more.
    My current Volvo V40 T4 may well get chopped in for a Karoq Vrs in ‘21………
