I just love bringing up the APS-C VS Full Frame discussion and in this video, I also talk about smartphone cameras because I know it’ll make haters go crazy…

  1. Hey, Joris, great video. As someone who shot with both systems, would you say that full frame gives you smoother tonal transitions, especially in skin tones? I agree with all your points, still, curious to know 😅

  2. I used my smartphone (Pixel 4a) for a lot of my BTS video where I need to shoot my M50 and I'm not impressed. 😒
When it comes to difficult lighting it just doesn't hold well. IPhones might be different but it's still a hassle to correct the footage. 😐
    It works. For now. 🤷‍♂️
I can't even imagine doing my content on a smartphone. For my needs it wouldn't work…

  3. Nothing wrong with APS-C I got a Sony a6600 love it and very happy with it, love its lightweight and look at all the happy Fuji Camera users, APS-C does not seem to be a problem with them.
Me I use my Camera and phone for photography and videos all the time, in fact I stopped carrying a second camera and use my phone for video clips and shorts.
    Cheers
To be honest there are times that full frame is preferable, but for me that is not too often.

  4. Great video!!!! I’ve been using the GH5 a micro4/3 camera for years and it’s built like tank, weather sealed, 10 bit 400mbs 422 and that was 4 years ago. Sensor size doesn’t top Story it’s just a tool. If we apply the crop factor math, the ISO and aperture you could get the same exact images on both cameras. The red Komodo is a super 35 it’s not FF and it’s one of the best cameras in the market for pros Same with the BMCC cameras.
