  1. This year imo was the best year of Nintendo Switch thus far simply because of all the smaller titles. I've always enjoyed the smaller games, & the ones that released this year were some of the best! I understand everyone talking about Metroid, but can we just shout out what is probably the best Mario Party we've gotten in over a decade? We got a new Pokemon Snap game this year! I know some didn't like Mario Golf, but it's one of my favorite games this year. Tons of smaller stuff released too, like Game Builder Garage, Big Brain Academy & Cruis'n Blast! The quantity & quality of these games was off the charts; it's just a question of "do you enjoy those more compact experiences?"

  2. My ranking of Switch: 2017, 2021 or 2019 and then 2018 imo. I rather have a lot of good games than 1 amazing game. For me its about the software and not some narrative like last year with animal crossing and 2021 is arguible the best year since 2017 and next year will maybe top that.

  3. I really wish we had Casey back on the show. My most played game BY FAR this year was monster hunter rise. I played for almost 300 hours. Sad it doesn't really get talked about much on here….but I get it.

  4. Shout out to Loco Motive, the point-and-click murder mystery game where you're trapped on a train… Love the art style and humor. That was probably the biggest stand out for me from the Indie World presentation, along with Sea of Stars.

  5. Omori is an amazing game. The underlying story is very heavy (not for children) but the game overall is very charming and whimsical. The most obvious comparison for a game like this would be to Undertale and imo this game beats it for me. Honestly very underrated game that deserves more attention.

  6. Could we have a section on NVC pop up occasionally where we learn about someone who impacted the industry and may not be as well known? Or even those that may be more well known as well. I would love to learn more about Nintendo's history.
