  1. Optical fingerprint readers are beyond annoying. I should know. This is coming from someone who's been through many of Samsung's A series offerings. Ultra Sonic is, by an order of magnitude, much better. I've always gone the cheap route initially only to return to flagship level as the usability and performance differences are like night and day. Samsung could have probably save some more cash and pass the savings in to consumers by removing the mediocre biometrics and cameras and leaving the core components that really matters in a good phone – SoC, screen, antennas, main crisp wide and ultra-wide cameras, stereo speakers, headphone jack.

  2. Why can't I just have a Note10 Lite successor ??
Or if only the Note10Lite didn't come with a 2yr old SoC, I'd have bought it even though it's a chungus for my hands!

  3. £699 equates to around $941 in the US, which means Americans are paying far less for the same handset. That alone is a reason for me not to pull the trigger on this device.

  4. I would rather get the Samsung a52s over this phone. It's practically the same except you get a headphone jack and expandable storage on the a52s. Unless you exclusively play demanding games on your phone, I really don't know why people would get this "new" phone. A slightly better camera (maybe), HDR capabilities (only when you watch content on almost max brightness), variable screen refresh rates are nice but I would rather save that extra $200-300.

  5. Well the optical vs ultrasonic fingerprint reader has one massive advantage. Optical will work with tempered glass screen protector where ultrasonic simply won't.

  6. Well it is still a better option for people living outside of USA becoz the Samsung sell all thier phones even thier flagship one with exynos chipset which is a good chipset but not on par with snapdragon for android phones

  7. I got s21 about 6 months ago, same time i got my gf pixel 4a 5g. I was using pixels for the last 5 years, but took a bet on samsung. Oh boy was I dissapointed… Compared to pixel, samsung is like a bug and a lag had an ugly baby, I was hoping they will fix it with updates, but one thing they fixed was replaced by 2 other glitches. My phone has exynos, maybe it has smth to do with this, but from my perspective, samsung is dead to me and i have no idea, how do ppl get by without a pixel in their hand…

  8. I bought the S21 back in summer for £400 on sale. The S20 FE did well because the S20 didn't drop much in price. The S21 dropped massively in price and had loads of sales on it, so I don't really see the point in this phone when you can get an S21 for cheaper on sale currently.

  9. Bought the S20 ultra on run out , new at this price…Now ,as you say the S21 ultra will be around this price on run out in a month or two's time when the S22 is released.Personally i would have picked up the S21 Ultra over this.

Having said all that , I'll stick with my S20 Ultra , because it has the SD card Slot. Those Camera's , epsecially the 4K movie modes chew through the storage at double quick time !

  10. Thought the same thing about the time of announcement as you and when I looked for my local pricing, found the S21 for super cheap, brand new and since the FE base price comes with 6GB, the base 21 is a much better deal IMO

  11. Totally agree with you, the same thing happened in India in 2020, where S20+ was selling for 45-50k rs (~$600) in October, but then samsung launched S20 FE 4G version at the same price. This was ridiculous, why would anyone buy an FE when he can get a plus at the same price.

The same thing is happening this year too

  12. I mean, it is great that you are including a sustainability category but come on. You just told us that there is no charger in the box. I know it takes an effort to do research like where the materials are from, or important thing like that, but those facts would be nice to see in future reviews.
