  1. tested it twice .. beta and release version .. for me it feels like a complex mmo mobile game… the animations and controls are boring.. the mmo part is even worse.. hours of hours of "go there and talk to him" "now go there and bring him this" .. but hey its for free .. go test it for yourself.

  2. IGN: Lost Ark has a generic story.
Me: Even if Hideo Kojima and Yoko Taro teamed up to work on the story, the game would still have a generic level for you people.

  3. fair review (although I'd have given it a 6), but you guys conveniently ignored mentioning that PvE gearing is also pay2win through the store. The rest was fine, but it's very misleading to not mention that. Just because PvP is equalized doesn't mean the PvE part of the game isn't pay2win, and a PvE player interested in the game deserves to know this before getting into the game…

  4. MMO? What a waste of a game! It's basically a bad game, just like games like destiny, war frame, steep and crew. all these games are a waste of time because there's no reason for these games to be online only. A games foundation should always be based on a offline experience, with online features for pvp and other modes. Even pvp should always have a AI option for offline pvp play. For example there no reason why you shouldn't be able to play PUBG offline against AI. Some games are so extreme but they force you to play online against bots. It's a big disappointment that lost ark is a online only games, fundamentally a bad game.

  5. Solid review. My thoughts exactly. The game often falls out underneath its own weight, turning into a tedious repetition of the same grinds in order to offer some semblance of logic to its otherwise labyrinthine complexity. However, there are hundreds, if not thousands of hours worth of exploration to pursue and highly satisfying rewards to be won. It’s campy. It’s even childish and immature. That said, it’s nevertheless fun. Sometimes, fun is all I’m looking for out of a video game. If it weren’t so clearly such a labor of love by the devs and community, it might score at a seven. The fact that it’s a fleshed out world in itself pushes it over into the eight territory.

  6. Stop calling this an ARPG; this is an isometric MMO, not an ARPG. Every skill has a cooldown giving combat a wildly different feel than ARPGs. Loot is not a major focus of progression unlike ARPGs.

  7. They're working on gender options. In addition there are 24 subclass choices in Korea. The other 9 are coming to the west eventually.

It's not another Diablo/Grim Dawn/Torchlight btw. Lost Ark is a fully imagined MMO with a top down view , only the camera angle is like a ARPG but it's not one!
