I'm definitely with you on Bitcoin – I think Ethereum has a lot of utility but I agree that the organizational structure there is fundamentally different and the move to Proof of Stake, while it carries many advantages, undermines one of the most seminal ideas behind of cryptocurrency; its decentralization. Bitcoin's fundamental adherence to the Proof of Work model is key to it being codified as a truly global store of value. That being said, the transaction rate on the Bitcoin network seems ill-equiped to handle the volume of activity it would need to support if it were to replace the US dollar federal reserve system.
