  1. From a corporate point of view, the iPhone SE has a lot going for it compared to Android competition if you exclude the Chinese makes like Xiaomi. We used to supply the Samsung A50, later A51 and A52 to employees but have pretty much moved completely to iPhone SE because an iPhone SE does the job, and if bought through a corporate reseller with DEP enabled is so much less fuss to setup and manage. We did the maths and with the previous SE model it costs IIRC 60 pounds more compared to Samsung A52, but the overall cost works out cheaper by the time one has factored in the setup time. We also find Jamf more intuitive in managing the devices compared to Workspace One though that's not relevant to the device itself. Strangely we have found WiFi calling works much better on iPhone than Samsung A5x though haven't figured out why. Wireless charging also comes as standard, and to get this on a Samsung phone you need to go for the high end devices. But maybe battery life could be better….

  2. I love the size of these things.
My daily phone is an old iPhone 7, just because of the size. It fits in my pocket.
Whereas my iPhone Xr is too big to carry, use. In fact, I hate the Xr. I have it permanently tethered to my Mac mini, as a development phone.
This is the phone I'd buy for my parents.

  3. Honestly I'm thinking about the new iPhone SE 3 just because even though I really like my iPhone 12 mini, I don't take a lot of photos or videos I just take notes screenshots, sometimes I like watching content, but it's basically something I can do with my iPad mini now so having a "less attractive" iPhone could help me to remember that our devices are just tools and we are not supposed to spend a whole day on it… 😓

  4. Something else. Having to return my company-owned Iphone X in a few weeks’ time, I knew I was going to need a new device which I would need to pay for. Long story short, I had decided on a 13 Pro. Following the Apple event and the announcement of the new Alpine green colour, I immediately lusted after it. Expensive? Yes, but I expect to have it for years. Beautiful colour too.

  5. Another well made video there Mark.

For those guys who hate this phone .. don't buy it. It's that simple isn't it? It is clearly not intended for power users or people who love their tech.

That said, I posted this comment on another reviewers video the other night as I feel some people may be missing something here IMHO, so .. just a thought…

"Something for some people though… a thought.

I have arthritis in my hands and I find holding my iPhone 12 mini painful, odd as that sounds. Then I tried my daughter's old 6s and found I can hold that without too much pain. I tried, briefly, an iPhone 11 and found the weight and 'finger stretch' or 'hand shuffle' too painful. Admittedly this is a very very small demographic but this means I'll be getting the SE 3, or I guess I could sick with the 6s .. but .. nope. Shame in many ways but hey it's that or grab and old 8 or SE 2 but the battery life is the thing for me. There is Android but …. not my bag, as it were."
