  1. Pixel 6(not the pro) has been amazing for me. It's not perfect by any means but it definitely gets the job done and the camera quality is top notchπŸ‘Œ

  2. My brand new 5a people couldn't hear me on phone calls. Turned out to be a faulty microphone. I had to have a brand new pixel repaired. The service folks said pixel reliability is the worse. Add the terrible online support since I ordered directly from Google store. I won't be buying another Pixel again.

Seems like Pixel is a test phone released to production

  3. I have purchased every nexus/pixel since the nexus 4, except the pixel 5 (I got a Note 20 ultra instead)
The Pixel 6 pro has been AMAZING. by far the best phone I have owned. The only issue I have had with it is slow fingerprint scanner.

I can't comment on coverage as I don't lose it ever. My carrier as absurdly good coverage in my state.

  4. Google has a different strategy when launching pixel phones. They're not perfect out of the box, but if they're able to constantly improve and update it, this will make it a highly competitive device over time. I like this approach, it gives us the opportunity to have a product over a longer period of time and not having to constantly swap to new phones to seek the latest updates. It is a much more sustainable approach to this industry that is without doubt a major negative impact on our planet

  5. The worst bug I have ever experienced on a Smartphone was happening on my Pixel 6. WiFi wasn't working. A fix took almost two months. Unacceptable, and my last Pixel Device, simply due to that. All the other issues I find to be minor, but that was a dealbreaker.

  6. Meanwhile you give chances to you Pixel, when will you give me the chance to grab this as a reward from you. When will this moment come in my life.

  7. I've owned both a Galaxy S8 and multiple Pixels since the Pixel 3. No problems with the Pixels, including Pixel 6. I use the apps that come with the Pixel. Extra apps are kept to a minimum. (With the exception that years after owning the Pixel 3, I sat on the Pixel 3. That put a definite curve it in. Eventually the Pixel 3 opened up and became unusable.)

  8. Do you feel like the standards have dropped on these Google phones since they've become more 'mainstream'. By that I mean since the days of the Nexus 5 etc. or is it just that the other manufacturers are pulling away?

  9. Been using the pixel 6 pro since launch and I can say i've had no issues on my phone what so ever. Except maybe the fingerprint reader being a bit slow but that has gotten better over time as well.

  10. 900 dollars for a buggy phone with normal processor big naaaah man I'm gonna buy red magic 7 Pro with only 800 dollars , this beast can run any game out there at maximum fps for so long time than any phone also charging from 0 to 100 in 15 minutes

  11. I got the pixel 6 pro in December. I hated it. Went to an iPhone 13 Pro max, hated it even more. Now I'm on a Samsung galaxy s22 ultra, which I'm loving currently 7 days in. I've had the s21 ultra and I loved it but I prefer the s22 version.

  12. Switched from the Pixel 3 to the 6 Pro at launch. The main problems for me have been the slow fingerprint reader, and the odd auto brightness at times. One extra one I have is when using the phone to make calls, the proximity sensor often doesn't detect my head so I hit buttons with my ear and toggle things off and on! Otherwise it's a lovely phone, but far from perfect, and hard to recommend for the price.

  13. I've had these problems with my pixel 4a which I've had for 1 and half years and I thought it was my connection problems but turns out it's not πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί

  14. Bought a Pixel 6, first pixel that I got.
    Marques is wright it's a mess…
Never had so much bugs, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei.. and I'm use for years sketchy custom ROM.
Thing is, if you add this issue, with small battery life, the slow charging… Hard to recommend.

  15. It's really strange to me that these are bugs in their own OS. In my experience of using custom ROMs these are the same problems we encounter. But the worst part is that the better ROMs fix these. Just think about it. A few people living off of 5$ donations make a better OS than a mega-corporation.

  16. I understand the fingerprint reader is slower because of increased security. I have had problems with Bluetooth dropping out when connected to my car and have to turn it off and on and the get car to look for it. And it does take ages to connect to networks when it loses them.

  17. This is one of the reason I prefer Apple and iOS. In iOS 14.something there were a calendar bug, which for almost 2 months drove me crazy.

On Android focus shifts when a new model comes out, and bugs takes forever to get fixed, and some never do.

When on iPhone, every bug and/fix are pushed to all supported models (at the moment 5 years old) at the same time. So a bug never lives for that long in this ecosystem.

And aging on iPhone is not an issue. My wife still uses her iPhone XS, and it is still working as when new. It's not far behind in speed and user experience compared to the new 13 series, I'm currently using.

  18. My 21 ultra is so buggy. The gps is the worst. The speaker will sometimes start sounding like it's blown out. (Its not) and a bunch of other stuff

  19. You would expect a company like Google to have a trouble shooting team that would fix it before launch, post launch after reviews…and yet, here we are still with problems. Sad.

  20. I bought a Pixel 2 around the time the Pixel 3 released, and have been using it ever since, due to not needing the latest and greatest phone. I loved the extra Pixel features, and the size and performance were great for what I do. But over the last 12 months I've been noticing more and more issues with it, to the point of almost being unusable. I really like the idea of a Pixel 6, but have held out on buying one due to some of the issues found, and hoping for a sale/price drop. In the meantime I've switched back to a Motorola, to get me through the next 6-12 months while I wait for the next Pixel, hoping for some improvement over the 6.

  21. Had my Pixel 6 since launch in the UK. The only problem I've ever encountered is the slow fingerprint reader – but that's now fixed for me with the latest update.

Overall it's been a very solid phone for me, no bluetooth issues, wifi performance is excellent and I've only managed to kill the battery in less than a day on a small handful of occasions. I normally finish the day with 20-30% battery left.

  22. Slow fingerprint reader is one thing, but TERRIBLE signal reception is the worst. I wish I knew that before buying it, having said that S22 Ultra cost 30-40%more so it was a bit out of reach. Camera is great though, but it annoys me, that there are is no manual control for a lot of things in it

  23. The worse thing for me has been the skipping music on Bluetooth for some reason now. Also sometimes the second swipe to bring up more option on the notification shade stops working sometimes and needs me to restart the phone. I also notice this phone seems to lower the refresh rate when its on extra dim and I'm not sure why it does that. I never had the connectivity issue though or at least noticed.

  24. I'm a old Samsung user, been using Samsung for the last 3 years, before i switched to the Pixel 6 when it came out, and to be honest I prefer the Pixel 6 than any Samsung I had with their own chip. Never had a Samsung with Snapdragon chip, from what I know it is completely different phone.

  25. The issue you mentioned with frame drops: I have this exact thing when I set my Galaxy S21 Plus to 60 Hz. The phone does not inly feel slower bc of the 60Hz, but it is extra laggy. Feels like they nerfed the 60Hz to promote 120Hz? Anyways, I am one of those who does not mind the stutter of 60Hz compared to higher framerate, when it helps with battery life, so this annoys me.. πŸ˜€
