  2. Wow, for one of the best smart phones on the market that sounded really negative. OK it's not perfect, NONE OF THEM ARE! There is always a compromise ( or choice) between all the premium handsets, personally I love the way sony implements android, yeah the bloat ware is hit and miss ( as it is on all handsets), to get the very best out of the camera takes some fiddling and it's not he fourth phone in a year and a half. Despite this is love it, got a fantastic deal on Three and it's the newest kid on the 5.2" block. Nexus 6 is too big with no sd, note 4 is too dear, LG G3 was the only other one but was more expensive and still not sure about the brand ( had a Viewty) . But thanks tech radar for another unbiased positive review about this year's dark horse.

  3. I have a sony xperia z1 phone for the last six months and i find that it can take pics for barely a minute or two after which the phone heats up and the cam app closes. Sony talks about taking full hd(now 4K) videos the phone processor can't handle taking long lasting photo session where does the video recording arise. These are serious issues, sony can't fool the public all the time, i have a Nokia N8 phone which takes to this day much better photos and videos of course. My youtube channel has most of the videos recorded by this wonderful phone. I expected such thing from sony but it has disappointed me. The 20.3 mega pixels is all gimmickry and nothing else because the pics come out with all noise and nothing else.I challenge sony to prove me wrong.

  4. This review is all over the place and ill-informed.
For instance, the 4K video recording does not "crash" the phone when it overheats – a pop up warning tells you the temperature is rising and will stop recording.
Then there's leaving out key selling points, like expandable memory.
The phone is miles better than Techradar give it credit for.

  5. Upgraded to z3 from Samsung s3 and this is such a better all round phone to any Samsung S 3/4/5. I charge it twice a week instead of twice a day. audio quality is brilliant, camera is better, screen is soo bright it can be seen in sunlight, Ps4 remote play and better build quality.

  6. Are Sony still stuck in the 80's and 90's??? not much innovation …only a 16gb internal storage and a camera that overheat's, wow it's unacceptable in this day and age. Never mind only 6months to wait for there new flagship.

  7. I have Sony Xperia Z2. Ihave recorded 4k for more than 10 mins. In terms of Z3, you are the first to say that it cannot record 4k for more than 3 mins. Kindly get your facts right.

In terms of still camera quality, it beats its competitors easily whether its day or night (how come its best feature you havent even mentioned).
Not a full review and definitely not a good review.

  8. 4k video on a smartphone is a complete waste of time takes up to much memory and can only be seen properly on a 4k screen. The bumpers on the corner are a good idea because instead of the metal getting scratched its the rubber that takes the knocks. Would have this phone in a heart beat but now I know of the umi zero think I might get that instead.😀
