  1. Why don't you show the third person option its the best solution for playing this game. None of the youtubers show it in thrid person in VR. Everything is in first person. This is not good advertising for "playable" VR games. The view in the video alone is so close that even watching it on youtube really hurts. Hellblade is the best example of a great third person VR game. And this one might as well be.

  2. Yuck, what a stupid mod. I pity any fool willing to play this and the developer that thought this trash would be good.

  3. would be better with full motion tracking and vr controls, if 1 man can do most of the work why cant developers do it with millions from theyre titles

  4. It’s not vr without motion controller support. I am never impressed by these fake vr mods, there’s nothing special about using the display on your face like it’s a display

  5. I play vr not just because of the immersion but how you actually have movable hands and motion controls are important for me when it comes to vr games but I swear half of these vr adaptation of PC game mods have no motion controls and I don't understand why they are never there tho this is just my opinion I still don't really like the mod tho it's just a 360 view of the normal game I don't get it.

  6. So you can only get these mods through Luke's patreon ($10/month) but you can just join up for the $10 and d/l all the mods or do you have to pay monthly to keep it working?

  7. Thanks for your vid. I wonder if we will have a part 2 comparing 3rd person VR with pancake? I'm sure the VR experience, with medium graphic settings to get the performance, and in 3rd person will triumph playing it pancake with next level graphics anyday and everyday?

Might be worth getting the game at some point as well as those Luke Ross VR mods. I've played the Souls trilogy, but basically stopped every early in III due to my eye diseases and always felt like "this is gonna be so much harder now whenever I come back, don't want", but trying in VR would be a totally different approach 😀

TBH, makes me want to play Dark Messiah of Might and Magic in VR as well as Kingdom Come: Deliverance, but with full controller support…

  9. I'd like to see a review / update of this when using the 3rd person camera. 3rd person VR gets overlooked a lot, and I think it would strike a better balance of immersive experience and playability for Elden Ring

  10. You should try setting lower FOV values in Oculus Debug Tool. I use my Quest 2 mostly in Assetto Corsa Competizione and other simracing titles and lowering it to 0.7 horizontal and 0.6 vertical can get up to 30% better performance as it basically needs to render less. This settings need to be optimized individually, as getting it too low makes you start to see black borders on edges. I use glass spacer so my fov is lower than normal and above settings might be a bit too low for most people. Still it might give those few missing FPS that make a difference without any visible sacrifices. Unless you need to record footage from Oculus Mirror, those normally invisible parts of rendered image are used for stabilization

  11. That looks awesome but with it not being that great to actually play I think there should be a 3rd person version. Like any of the good 3rd person vr games where your head is the camera

  12. it would be crazy if fromsoft made an actual souls-like vr game. They already have some experience with Deracine, and they could use combat similar to Sekiro since it would work better in first person.
