  1. Encounter rate and "grindey" sections are mutually exclusive. Usually, grinding means you have to excessively push your characters to new levels in order to beat a boss. High encounter rate with the ability to escape and still defeat a boss is not grinding. It's just high encounter rate.

  2. See you don't need over the top graphics to make a game worth playing. If only JRPGS stick to their formula. No need to fix something that is not broken.

  3. I'm actually not sold on the voice acting…I sorta wish Square had left it out. Doesn't really seem necessary in an old-school game like this.

  4. This game surprisingly influential. It's cool as hell playing certain parts and being able to instantly see where a later game took inspiration.
