  1. State of foldables, samsung z flip screen just randomly blacked out no water damage, had to pay 100 dollar repair thanks to courtesy replacement. Less than a year later it happened again and it's a 500 dollar repair.

  2. The flip concept looks really cool, but I'm too deep in the Apple ecosystem now. Gotta wait for Apple to come out with a flip phone, hopefully.

  3. I honestly never thought I would get a foldable, but I just picked up a Z Fold 4 and I am loving it! I think Samsung is really killing it these days with their flagships and definitely leading the way for a lot of cool, innovative ideas on Android.

  4. Now do a video where when I walk into any store in United States that I can buy actually as a customer my criteria for this argument is, I'm not a tech person, I'm just a normal United States American citizen that wants to buy a phone (the hot new foldable phone) which one do I buy because at lest 60% of your phones you posted now I can't find in a store

  5. I would prefer a large slab phone with a 7-7.5" screen in 16:9 ratio, similar to Mi Max 3. There aren't any manufacturers out there making new phones in this form factor. I don't care much for the foldables at the moment due to the aspect ratio isn't conducive for media, and many Android apps aren't optimized for tablets. Price and durability are a concern also.

  6. That end bit… We know thanks to Nintendo it's the cheap duel screen that sells not the expensive Fold or flip… Like the Nintendo DS series if taken as one series would beat any phone by sale but maybe the iPhone.

  7. I love my fold 4 and after owning it I can't go back to the regular form factor feels dated to me. Samsung also packed crazy features into fold 4 such as Bixby routines. I have one setup were if the phone is folded power saving is on then when it is open it instantly turns off.

  8. For many people folding phone is not necessarily,i don't know why flip categories is most popular when you can buy a flagship instead. Fold can at least be a tablet but flip not

  9. Nope! I would not buy these folding phones. My sister bought a Flip 3 last year. She gave up using it after a few months. The battery was terrible, camera was bad. Her BF is happy with his Fold2.

I dont see the reason why I should buy these phones. I have a 13 Pro Max, the display is big enough, battery is fantastic, it works fine with the Apple ecosystem and the camera is really good! For everything else I use an iPad Pro.

Currently there is no SW that could take advantage of the foldable display.
I really want to see what Apple can bring to the table with their SW solutions.

  10. No thoughts on the Surface Duo? Is that phone likely to die as a Microsoft proof of concept or do you feel like there's some merit to the two-screen concept in the folding phone space?

  11. It's worth to mention that the Galaxy Flip 3 was South Korea's best selling smartphone overall in 2021. That's crazy, it's already become mainstream.
In Italy I still have seen only one in the wild.

  12. I don’t understand Foldable phones. It’s just a gimmick that serves no real useful function or purpose. Nothing about it makes me say “Wow I REALLY need/want that!”

  13. The difference between samsung and other brands is they are willing to experiment but also polish it in a way where it's welcoming to consumers. Other brands (excluding apple), no so much.

  14. Got the Fold4 and I am never going back to a regular phones. People complain about how bulky it is, but for me the size is fine and doesn't bother me, even with a case on it. But the weight is an issue. Can't lay down and hold this phone up for a long time. Also, need the case for sure, not to protect it, but to get grip to open the phone up. The naked phone is sexy and feels nice, but the force to open it makes your thumbs slip and drop the phone.
