  1. Another Tesla copycat. Even copied the subtle things that they could have easily done differently, but chose to copy which is annoying

  2. To be honest, this is a great first step for Rivian into making great electric trucks. I cannot wait to see what the future holds especially with the fact that its delivery is way better than the Cybertruck🤣🔥

  3. I'm curious since this and the R1S come with rooftop tents how the lock/unlock from your cell phone will work.

Maybe this is something you can test. But it would be super annoying if you're camping and it's constantly locking/unlocking and/or chirping.

I wonder the same if you're camping inside of the vehicle. You could easily lay an air mattress in the back of this as well.

  4. Good honest review. Appreciate it. These are expensive cars, some of these features you suggested are not what I would expect at these price points. What do you think of bringing in Android Auto and Apple Car Play? Based on the calculation times to find a route seems like a yes. Curious your thoughts on the full infotainment system and all the features.
Also interested if you plan to review the R1S?

  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmH6j3tDczo I realize you want to get vehicles to review but you are failing and hurting followers if you don't note the key failings. Rivian and all EV trucks so far are worthless as trucks due to very limited range under load – then it slides from a review to proganda. As the link shows a Rivian took 23 charges to travel 2700 miles, that was in good weather; it would have taken 28 recharges in freezing weather – EV trucks are pathetic as trucks and failing to point it out is a disservice to your followers.

  6. hey marques, out of curiosity, if the intent was a studio work truck, did you consider the F-150 Lightning? If yes, why'd you choose the R1T over it?

  7. Great feedback! All trucks for the most part have an issue with the rear backup camera being blocked with the tailgate down but your thought on changing to the bed camera is a good one, although may be an issue if you have stuff in your bed obstructing the view. I really like what you said about the tailgate not having a spot for your hand to close it. I think the people who buy that truck won't find themselves using the bed as often as I think typical truck users though. They may opt to have the tonoe cover always open or never even roll it back since they just throw groceries in the back or in the gear locker.

It's still a cool truck and I'm glad to see it in the marketplace.

  8. Yeh the most “wtf is that hideous, odd, gross design that looks like a telsa f’d a fiat 500 truck and who would ever sit proudly in one?” Looks

  9. Man….Marques never misses. At this point, this man could tell me that oxygen could use some new features and I'd probably try to upgrade oxygen itself. Keep the 🔥coming, brother!
