  1. Slight clarification:
-The two cheaper screen protectors, don't claim to be level 9 in hardness specifically, but claim to be "9H". The point I should have added is that 9H is not the same as 9, and that 9H is MUCH weaker, but is used by these companies because it sounds a lot like "level 9", when it actually isn't – which you'll see demonstrated in the video.
Thanks for watching once again, really appreciate it ❤️

  2. As long as you can resist hammering on and throwing bricks at your phone, any screen protector should work, and with a case, should stop most contact with the screen all together. If you are a carpenter or brick layer, I guess just be careful and look out for flying hammers and bricks being thrown around. Kidding aside, great video.

  3. So I had just bought a 13 pro max at the time this video launched, wayyyy more than I’ve ever paid for a phone, as a divorce present to myself. I went all out and, per the results of this video, got one of those Shellrus sapphire screen protectors. I paid the extra $2 for the polarized spy protection layer as well.

I’m a moderately heavy user and while I’m not throwing my phone in a rage, I am a clumsy oaf and need decent protection for my phone.

The sapphire protector got a chip on its border last week and quickly spidered across the screen. There is no warranty and Shellrus is out of stock for the 13 pro max.

I replaced it with a $15 gorilla glass protector (also with the privacy layer) and I must say the feel is better, much more like the original screen, than the sapphire was, and it is less prone to fingerprints.

Shellrus is, unfortunately in my experience, not worth it.

However, just for grins, after I replaced my protector, I dragged a sharp screw across the sapphire one and could not scratch it with all my strength, for whatever that’s worth. Not a single scratch on it, but that chip on the edge was critical and made the entire thing brittle af.

  4. You should make a new video bacuse after you crack a glass protector the "protectevness" of it is basically 0. Im not saying it will be stronger then the $80 one but a fair chance is needed.

  5. I'm sorry, but this must be the worst test I've ever seen. You can't drop the brick 100% at same height, angel and location on the phones. If the brick falls flat, the screen is more likely to survive.

  6. I want the magic john one with the anti dust installation kit and fully automatic adhesion no bubbles and perfect install every time first time.

  7. Run an episode about the fact they use super thin glass of super strong material which cracks on first drop and it's an industry joke to sell more phones. 0.8mm gorilla is indestructable.

  8. The whole point of a screen protector is that it will get scratched and cracked and then you can replace it with a new one. If you buy an expensive screen protector you are defeating the whole purpose when the costs of replacing the protector becomes more than the whole screen

  9. One other note is that you screen glass is indeed level 6-7 hard. That means, if you apply the protector, you are easily getting more scratches. If you are not replacing it regularly, you are having a worse display experience than not using anything at all.

  10. What a waste of iPhones, you could’ve easily put cases on those phones. And run the tests with the screen protectors, I know those cameras where fucked up at the end of it. SMH, it’s literally a screen protector review, shits cringe

  11. The results would've been different if you just drop the phones on hard jagged surface like surface of uneven asphalt.
Cheap screen protectors would break but the phone screen remains intact.

  12. UN REALISTIC TESTS

JUST BEND OVER 5 TIMES PER PHONE … LIKE YOUR TAKING A SHIT

    THAT'S THE REAL TEST

LOL ANY IDIOT THAT TAKES THERE PHONE TO A BRICK OR 10' HIGH AND DROPS IT DESERVED IT FOR NOT PUTTING IT INSIDE A MAN PURSE

  13. LMFAO

    I COULDN'T CARE LESS

I BUY THE CHEAPEST I CAN FIND BECAUSE I ONLY CARE ABOUT THE CRACKING SCREEN

AND I ONLY BUY RUBBERIZE / GEL PROTECTION CASES AND SCREENS

  14. dont get me wrong here, i love this channel. but seeing these phones getting completely destroyed to test the screen protectors seems simply pointless. could think of better ways to test these in a minute resulting in simply getting the displays destroyed instead of the entire phone

  15. I just said f*ck it and went back to a plastic screen protector. Complete b.s that I buy a 40$ piece of cheap glass that literally breaks in my pocket and not even from being dropped ever. 🤦‍♂️

  16. I bought a 3 pack on Amazon for 12€ and so far I have to replace them every month from sliding off my phone. My last one was great, gave me grat protection and never slid off my phone.
