  1. Really want to see the Google Pixel Fold if for no other reason just to see what their new design language looks like in a fold phone… and to see whether they bring any smart new OS features out alongside it.

Other than that I would love to see a new Surface Duo 3 in the form factor of the Oppo Find N2. If MS are moving into a pure foldable design this is where I think the Duo ends up and it could be the smartest move (or not)…

  2. Funny enough I spent the first week of new year suffering from Bailey's poisoning. My loo still hates me.

Perfect mic failure timing there Mr wank sack. Have a good one mate! 😁

  3. Despite being the one guy who likes the recent iPhone SE (general rule with me is that there's always something I like that you, whoever is reading this, either hates or even loathes, but I can usually balance it out with something you like or even love), I have to admit that one of my reasons for getting the SE was so I could have a compact iPhone with a home button and supported updates that last until 2027.

But since Apple seems to be gradually ditching the home button and genuinely compact iPhones I'm just going to hope that by 2027 they have a change of heart and release a compact iPhone akin to the iPhone 13 Mini.

As for why I jumped ships in the first place, I've been on Android since 2011 and have never owned an iPhone until recently. My issue right now is the way Google seems to be a bit too keen on getting rid of some brilliant features and apps and substituting them with worse alternatives whilst third party devs either have no breathing room to make better alternatives that don't require rooting the phone or are just simply not doing it for some other reason. For example: Google Play Music was great and the only app I can think of that provided a method of free automatic cloud syncing of your music library. Now it's gone and in its place is YT Music which sort of has it but it's nowhere near as seamless as what GPM had.

Another example is the ability to unlock your smartphone via NFC. If you used this feature in conjunction with an NFC ring you ended up with a way to unlock your non-facial recognition phone without needing to take off your Winter gloves.

Also, while not exclusively an Android issue the way they've been treating YouTube is atrocious and I think it's ridiculous that my iPhone handles the YouTube app better than my Xperia 1 II ever could.

Plus it's kind of frustrating how when they do release a great new feature it sometimes requires either a Pixel phone or a stock Android phone which wouldn't be an issue if those phones didn't also have certain limitations (no Micro SD slot, no wireless charging, no OLED panel) or if it didn't require a bit of trial and error to find out about these limitations. Granted, this can be the fault of the manufacturer but there have definitely been occasions where Google is to blame.

Don't get me wrong, iOS is very much a walled garden experience and Apple is far from being a perfect company (hence why I never owned an iPhone until last year) but at least I feel like I know what I'm getting with an iPhone. Yeah the reviews may be bias but that's why it's always handy to have friends who already own the phone and can tell you if there's any faults the reviewers may have missed (an issue which sadly can happen with any existing smartphone).

The sad part is, these issues with Google that I listed only really started to gradually crop up between 2015 and now, and some of them are issues that make me wonder why google would shoot themselves in the foot the way they did.

Knowing the way companies go I'll probably wind up jumping ships again if Apple decides it's their turn to majorly foul things up whilst Google finally sorts themselves out.

In all honesty I just wish there were more phone OS's that can act as a best of both worlds alternative rather than just iOS or Android. Ubuntu looked interesting but that seems to have gone away, and I know there are a few "underground" OS's built for custom phones (one of the interesting ones I remember seeing was a smartphone with physical switches for the individual comms rather than the questionable on-screen toggles that phones use now) but the issue with those tends to be usability (basically if you don't know a thing about coding or even using a command line interface you've got no chance of figuring out how to use the damn thing).

Sorry if I went on a tangent or two there, lol.

  4. Tbh, the oneplus 10 series got too much hate, don't think it was the most intriguing or groundbreaking thing ever, but it did what it had to, launch price was a bit steep, though now quite a bargain, general decent experience, also great design, new and stylish, apart from the 10r version I think. They seem to continue their improvements design wise, with the 11 looking really good, a bit different, and these days, especially last year, phones weren't particularly exciting or fresh anyway, so don't see much problems for oneplus, and they definitely have an advantage on the designs, atleast compared to samsung n apple. Foldables are neat and handy, but need more development in terms of lower price and software experience to be viable

  5. If Samsung came out with a budget folding option, sporting two glass covered screens in lieu of a single flexible OLED, I think it could do rather well. I'd buy it. 💁‍♂️

  6. This is why we keep coming back – an 8" monster, mickey takes on other Youtubers and highlighting why the M1/2 chips have issues. Next time it's quiet week how about either a homage to Super Kev or a short reading of one of your crime books. Keep up the great work

  7. Once again, Chris drags his nutsack into the opening moments of the conversation. Only virtually, thank God, but one can only imagine the scrotal shenanigans in real life after a few.
Honestly, these videos have become the highlight of my day. How f%^&ing sad is that?🤣

  8. I only buy Motorola phones 🔥😎 I think they are really good and durable I know they were kinda slow with updates and stuff like that but now days they are getting better and the quality of the phones are better than a lot of people assume and they always work their products with the latest technology on the market and a reasonable price 🤑💥🔥 love it " HELLO MOTO "
