  1. the tech community really needs to get together behind not reviewing tech from china until the CCP is gone. Without knowing it they are supporting the genocidal fascist regime by reviewing/supporting these companies. Yes, every company in china that reaches a certain level has members of the CCP in staff/ and as tech people they should educate themselves on all the intellectual theft and constant espionage of other corporations. just to point a few things out of the long litany of things I could post here.

  2. Imo, still a terrible design for a hinge, are any of the folding phone companies offering a bounty on a better designed hinge?

  3. hello hello. I've been following you for a long time, I really like your videos. I really want a phone. I wish you gave me an old phone of yours. can you give it to me? Thank you..

  4. Jerry: I really hope you don't want this phone back.
Me: (Laughing*Smiling) while saying the same thing. 🤣😂😅

  5. I highly doubt my next phone will be a foldable; but, the phone after it very well could be. While the "Flip" style phones do nothing for me, the ones that unfold into a tablet are intriguing as I can often use a bigger screen. The only things holding me back are pricing for those available in the USA and some lingering concerns about long term durability. It's not like I'm unsatisfied with rigid screen devices so I'm in no real hurry to switch to a foldable unless I get lucky entering a contest or find a very sweet deal from my carrier, eBay, or Amazon.

  6. I think that over time, when they will be able to make the phone thinner, they will move to a 3 folding elements factor, with 2 hinges, so that one folds over the central element and the other folds under. First, this would leave the topmost element visible when folded, removing the need for an additional screen to be used when the phone is closed. Second, the hinge from the topmost to central element would bend inwards, leaving exposed part of the screen, making it visible from the side (like the Samsung phones that used the side part of the rounded screen to show time and minor infos). Third, the form factor would be more 4:3 than the square one we have today, that's much better. Fourth, there would be room for more hardware and batteries. It all depends on the thickness of the phone. I guess they could do it even today, but it would be thick as a brick (or as a Nokia Communicator)

  7. Yea, i want a foldable so fucking bad … i'm stuck with a Huawei p9 and it has such a small screen. I need more real estate, these foldable things are like a tablet in your pocket. Nice to know Honor is making decent ones too, way cheaper.

  8. "I say we because we're all in this together now"
I just got the video recommended out of the blue, I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS!!

  9. since we went from flip phones to touch screen phones in 20 years, and foldable phones have been in the making for nearly a decade, i wonder what the final result of foldable phones will be. maybe even foldable keyboards could be build into them for the tablet mode in the future. just a guess though doesnt seem like it would happen as most smartphone users dont use a keyboard.

  10. Samsungs designed a new tear drop hinge for the fold 5 to fold flat! I can't wait to see what they are like
