  1. This game is throwback to the PS1 era , not it a good way …. PS1 graphics that require a 4090 to run at 45fps 4K which tells you all you need to know about the devs and the effort they put on this game . They should had been ashamed for pushing out this absolute garbage at all, let alone asking full price for it !!!

  2. this is exactly but really EXACTLY i sub to you guys, if a game is bad, you guys say it, no one is buying your pov thanks for saying that the game sucks and it's bad.. thanks for just being true and real

  3. I feel sorry for the people that buy this trash specially for $60 smh 🤦‍♂️ this company making all this stupid game to make money

  4. Major disappointment. I feel like this game had a lot of potential. Personally, I would’ve loved to have gotten some true character exploration, seeing and playing through how Sméagol devolved into the creature Gollum. This basically sounds like just a massive money-grab all the way around, definitely not the exciting new Lord of the Rings experience the marketing promised. So glad I didn’t pre-order this one. I really hope people see this and other reviews before spending full price on this thing.

  5. Bugs aside and in a pure entertainment point of view, it makes me wonder if devs actually play their own game and ACTUALLY enjoy playing it.

  6. It was doomed to fail from the beginning. Instead of playing as the characters we love, or even following around the characters we get this. Maybe at some point he does catch up to the group? Idk I can't be bothered to even watch someone play it.

  7. Wishlisted it when it was announced, but not gonna play it unfortunately.
Gameplay footage looks clunky, graphics looks outdated even though the system requirements are unreasonably high, and the price is high.
Kinda breaks my heart as a Lord of the Rings fan, but hopefully newer installments for LOTR will use this as a chance to learn what should be done different.

  8. Why is TLotR being so mishandled lately, between this and Rings of Power. Such an awesome franchise/world should be handled with a bit more integrity.

  9. I'm suspecting this game focuses heavily on telling a story rather than giving the player good gameplay opportunities. If that's the case, it proves my point that games need more play and less narrative.
I feel like video games are strongly moving towards interactive movies. There is less and less of actual free experimenting with e.g. the physics system of a game or just experimenting around with the character and the world in general. That's what play is about, that's what little kids do on a playground. They play around. And I feel like games are slowly losing this by holding your hand way too much and making everything cinematic and "fool proof" just so it can look cool instead of feel fun. Best examples are GoW and Spider-Man.
And one of the best examples of good video games where you actually PLAY a game are Mario Odyssey and the new Zelda games.

  10. But sometimes, as much as it sucks to have to play a lame game, and the potential disappointment for it based on potential and personal hopes, it still must feel good to be guiltfree about just trashing a game, knowing it will save others from wasting their money and time

  11. Dudeeeee…….every single time I saw a post with his face I swear I though it was photoshopped, like it was a meme face. I can come up with better character designs on my Casio calculator-watch than whoever made this atrocity

  12. damn, this must be the worst AAA game release i've seen, steam reviews are merciless aswell, they really messed up, not even Forspoken got this much bad press
