  1. Hmmm….I’ll wait for the upgrade around Pro3. Cost: I did splash out on a huge tv at this price, but my whole family can watch it at once…to kit out two adults and two kids to watch a movie together with this headset tech will cost you 15000 😳

  2. A lot of people are focusing only on the negatives and not what it can do to improve life. I have a friend with vision problems that can potentially be helped significantly, even if it just for indoor use. Or people with diseases that can't go outside because of IDF, like ironmouse who, after trying out vr, has finally experienced what's it like to have a birthday party with friends over, via hanging out with her online friends in a virtual space. It has been marketed for mainstream use, but there are many, many applications that is not just about entertainment. Some people's lives, unlike most normal, healthy people, could actually become better with the help of such technology.

  3. Haha, I have to agree with your arguments. It would be nice though if you used the timestamp feature from YouTube to divide the video into chapters.

  4. the art of not beeing isolatet with a big glasses cover up ur complete face..add a face mask to that and u are complete. working at a office where everyone use that…horrible

  6. I am one of those people this video is directed towards. I was wrong. The implication for future models is pretty amazing but its still very Black Mirrorish – there's always two sides to innovations like this. Hope we are ready for the parts that don't improve our lives…

New sub from me. Great breakdown.

  7. The build of materials is around 1500 not 3000 but that’s besides the point R&D is not free and they need to cash in to make the last 10 years of development worthwhile

  8. Give this some years this will replace all our tech for the most part well maybe not apples but competitors as well. Smaller lighter more natural cheaper can do all this . Ya gg my desktop

  9. People are hardwired for ruminating on disastrous future scenarios. When we sincerely look at the potentially good qualities of such a development, we see how our lives can be greatly enriched by a compelling VR/AR headset, letting us interact with the world in quite ravishing ways that don’t have to exclude a socially rich basis. Just imagine all the countless hours you’ve been mindlessly scrolling through social media as there seems to be no other more interesting alternative; socially immersive experiences in VR/AR could grab our attention and actually get us out of our tiny bubble. Besides, artists, directors, game developers etc. have a new playground in which to explore realms of ideas that can be actualized in ways that we couldn’t even have dreamed of, not mentioning that we ourselves can become architects of our own working and home environment.

  10. someone needs to invent something that can help take the weight off your face via some kind of brace/strap on your shoulders or something.

  11. Love the idea of this, but I can’t stand wearing my PlayStation VR2 for more than a few minutes before being annoyed by the sweat wherever the set meets my skin. I’m not going to say no just yet, but I doubt it’ll be anything I buy.

  12. The external battery is a good thing if you consider that the main use will be in office environments where you plug it directly into a power source. An integrated battery would have made the headset heavier.

  13. This reminds me of the helmets that fighter pilots wear that shows information such as elevation, knots, direction, etc. I wonder if this can be developed for use on the racetrack that shows my laptimes, tire pressures, track map, position, etc.

  14. Greg, your channel is excellent 👌🏽
This is the most balanced take on Apple Vision I’ve seen. Totally agree on all your points, especially that it will be years before this technology enters the mainstream but it’s clearly where we are headed. Apple showing the way, investing in proper future tech and not gimmicky folding phones

  15. It's always funny to see how irrationally bias against Apple people are. Apple could cure cancer and they would still have critical things to say against Apple. It's sad that there are so many people out there whose vision is clouded by their bias.

As soon as Apple releases a sub $2000 version, I'm in. That was the best 1st gen product announcement yet from Apple. This pre-production device was more polished than the first iPhone Steve introduced on stage.

  16. Just to put cost in perspective: I paid $2600 for a Mac Plus in 1986, in todays dollars it would cost $7200, more than twice as much as Vision Pro!

  17. Absolutely right! I have been arguing that this is an iPhone level and Apple really invested to make this technology widely usable and pitch perfect. This will sell like water in the desert

  18. I wonder how the mixed reality cameras on the Vision Pro will stack up to the upcoming Quest 3, which will supposedly have MASSIVELY improved augmented reality compared to the Quest Pro, as they are using actual color cameras now compared to black and white cameras that were colorized using a third camera. The quest 3 will also have a depth sensor, to detect walls and furniture, to place virtual objects on.

Meta sells their headsets at a loss, so it will be interesting to see how close you can get to Apple for only $500

  19. How much battery life does it have though? People are saying it only has 2 hours… that’s shocking. What if I’m out and about, I only have 2 hours with it in a journey .. terrible

  20. To offset the $3500 price, in a virtual world in which you can pull up multiple screens, you'd save on not having to buy multiple physical screens and multiple adjustable monitor stands, and a desk.
