17. Nice one! I've been waiting for this for years. I started buying bitcoin because I saw it's potential to serve as a backup to the conventional banking system. Remember the big banking system freeze-up that occurred during the 2008 recession? It paralyzed the whole financial system until the feds caved in and borrowed a bunch of money from the central bank to free it up again. If they couldn't do that it would have been a disaster. If that occurs again we'll have bitcoins and the lightning network so we'll still have something of value to trade for goods and services. Soon we'll have the Liquid bitcoin network as well, which will be useful for larger purchases than what Lighting is designed to accommodate. If things get bad, utilities and other billers will probably include a QR code that will take you to a web page where you can use bitcoin to pay the bill.
