  1. Awesome! Now, on ebay they have the blue tooth with it.I bought one for less than 20.00 on ebay.If I love it, I will wait 3 or 4 years so when Hubby and I can take vacations, explore, horseback ride without leaving our house lol..I really hope so 🙂

  2. There's actually quite a bit of VR content out there, it's just that most of it is demos and short games made by hobbyists rather than multi-million dollar studio efforts. This isn't necessarily a bad thing because the hobbyists have made things the big studios likely won't, at least not for awhile. For example, one of the cooler demos out there puts you inside the bus stop scene from My Neighbor Totoro. In the future, I'm hoping to see full-length "interactive movies" like that.

  3. Love the videos mate. Although when you say there is not a lot of contend out there at the moment thats not quite right. If you look on steam there is a ton of Virtual Reality games for the Vive and Rift. AAA games are a little sparse admittedly which is what we are all waiting for and a lot of the games available are indie games and there is amongst it all a lot of crud. Having said that i would say that for the Vive i have around 25 good to great game titles that i play often which isn't a huge amount but that list can potentially grow sifting through all the games available. I guess the problem is the risk of getting stung by the high probability of spending money on a game that absolutely sucks but with steams return policy which allows you to return a game for full refund if you return within 2 hours or 2 weeks (which ever comes first) you can, if you spend the time, pick out some real gems. Also, a great utuber who reports on this stuff daily Epyx911 reported that sales for the vive had been reported to sell 130,000 units but when the CEO was interviewed he said that sales figures were well above that which isn't too bad for a new platform when you consider the psx sales when launched were similar. Another factor to consider is consoles today are not sold with a profit margin and rely on game sales for profit where as vr at this stage due to lack of AAA titles are unable to do and in turn affects sales. Cheers commando love your work and hey how about some more 3d printing stuff 😉

  4. Couldn't agree more. The biggest thing holding back virtual reality 3D is not the visual technology to display 3D in stereoscopic. It's how do you make controls to interact in virtual reality. Once someone can crack that riddle, virtual reality will be a booming next thing you have to have technology. AS-IS… virtual reality is just not worth the investment.

  5. I have tried a few of these now. I first got google cardboard. It is awesome. I then got one of those cheap VR boxes with bluetooth remote and it was alright but a pain in the ass to setup and it really hates phones with buttons on the sides. The other day I got my Google Daydream View VR headset in and its amazing. the remote is amazing and it works really well but there is no adjustment on the lenses. so you can't focus them but mine is perfectly fine and is in focus but the other day my sister boyfriend brought over his samsung gear VR and it is really nice. I'd say it beats the Daydream view in every way except it has no remote you instead have a touch pad on the side. Its also a bit more clunky and fogs up a little more than the Daydream. But if there was someway to have the Gear VR with the daydream remote then that would be perfect. The only problem with having a remote is it is bluetooth meaning you can't connect bluetooth headphones at the same time. Or at least I don't think you can. Now the one area the cardboard and the VR Box win in is that you can use them with random apps and tons of different phones. With the gear vr and daydream you have to use their propitiatory apps basically it gives you a frontpage with links to other apps like youtube and a few others but you can't just download an apk. This will be kinda lewd here. For example pornhub (yes the porn website) has vr videos but you can't watch them on the daydream of the gear VR because of the aforementioned propitiatory apps thing. But if you don't plan on watching porn on them then I highly recommend trying to pickup the gear vr of daydream (if your phone works with it). For me the porn thing isn't a big deal I saw what it was on the cardboard and i was over it. But I figured I would throw in my 2 cents here. Thanks for the Video!
