  1. What other coins do you like? I hold ltc, eth, xrp and btc. I only have 1 3/4 btc so trying to buy more. I am also curious on your take on precious metals. New sub and thank you

  2. I used to disbelieve that BTC can reach such high levels as 100k +. But that was simply because I didn't understand the macroeconomic / game theory aspect of the equation. Sad, because I'm trained in economics. However, I'm beginning to see the bigger picture. I'm rooting for bitcoin, while also investing in other coins as well. Here's to the future!

  3. If it was proven that 4-year investment cycles were so clear, so many more people could make better investment decisions. But stock, gold, or other investments follow much wilder trends. Where is the critical thinking here? Should I trust a trader who got less than 100 views as your source of knowledge? Altcoin Daily, man — where is your mind here? Especially considering your ignorance of the first four year period. These two don't look very similar to each other, especially the first two-years. What arbitrary conclusions.

  4. I think its worth the risk. Everything else is shit, metals, 401ks stocks… so why not risk a bit more on BTC. The Blockchain is working very well. No one ever made anything without risk.

  5. This is idiotic. The market goes up and down. The "cycles" are just something you're imposing on variations caused primarily by trading based on "gut feelings" and hunches of the traders. Many things could happen in the next month, moreso the next three years, that drastically affects the price of Bitcoin that would make this "cycle" meaningless. Stocks and commodities prices may fall into what appear to be cycles for a long time, then abruptly stop "cycling" to do something completely different without any warning. Bitcoin only has one inherent value — its anonymous use. With new cryptocurrencies emerging, Bitcoin's inherent value is no longer unique. This would suggest that its recent price was a bubble, and its future will be stagnant, with prices eroding. How fast will prices erode? It's all dependent on market perception of new cryptos, and considering that there's a lot of now-useless mining equipment in the wild, at some point many of those miners are likely to jump onto a new crypto. The resultant volume MIGHT encourage significant use and investment (or it might result in a lot of miners wasting their resources mining a crypto that is never worth anything). Other than emerging cryptos, there is nothing on the calendar that will affect Bitcoin prices in our lifetimes, however a large country investing lots of money to crack down on vice might spike the price. The US and China are the likely culprits, and the US already spends too much on "the war on drugs." So, for the near future, I foresee Bitcoin's price simply changing based on broad market perception — which not something to bet the bank on, or eroding, probably slowly. When prices drop there is certain to be some speculation. Will this drive the price to new highs? It shouldn't, but it might, and there's no way to know beforehand.

  7. The doubling of BTC difficulty (every 4 years) coming in 2020 has to count for something. large scale asic mining operations will get kicked in the nuts bad if the whales dont simply pump the coin up to meet the energy bill. I think the pump will be mutual amongst the big guys.

  8. Seems to me one potentially massive difference between now into the future, and past years such as examined here, is the fact that we previously had ZERO on-ramps for anything other than average retail investors. With the advent of all that is built to the tune of countless billions of dollars to bring institutional money, and the growing expansion of awareness as well as easy access, seems that surely 2019 ends with a higher bitcoin price than 2017. Don't think that's just wishful thinking.
