4. These false break outs of patterns have been happening extremely frequently lately across the altcoins as well. Low volume breaks shortly followed by a quick return high volume moves in the opposite direction…some even hitting measured moves before the redirection.

8. A little correction, Carl: Juan Guaido is the president of the National Assembly (a sort of congress or legislative power). Maduro lost control of such chamber so he declared that particular election as fraudulent and invalid, creating a "Constitutional Assembly" that basically replaces the lawful National Assembly. According to Venezuelan law, if the president is unfit to perform the duties as chief of state or is NOT recognized by the venezuelan people or the institutions that handle the elections, the president of the National Assembly has to temporarily take the presidency as an interim president so new presidential elections are summoned. When Maduro was disavowed as president and the venezuelans wanted to get Maduro out, by law, the presidency has been transferred to Guaido. It is not that he declared himself president or orchestrated a coup-d-etat (as some people wrongfully say). Take a look on that, Carl. Great video as always!

Venezuela's crisis is the result of sanctions and pressure on this country and all that will go away once the dollar has lost its international role as reserve currency and once countries have stopped trading oil for USD.

33. Aside of the facts that there's extreme poverty and lack of health care and medicines in Venezuela, what is happening there is very bad. What you commented is a pure anti-democratic movement. NO ONE can declare himself as President when he wasn't elected.
    I'm not defending Maduro and his politics, I'm just saying that this is going way beyond where it should go. There's a lot of interest from the US on Venezuela's oil. Venezuela's economy depends a lot on oil exportations to sustain itself and Venezuela's goods are mostly all imported. People are starving not only because of Maduro's stubbornness but because of the US sanctions too. And what were the sanctions' interest in the first way? Finish with "Chavismo" in Venezuela and control the biggest oil reserve on the planet.
    I know a lot of venezuelans, I'm friend of them, I know their reality and what they are passing. It's true the country is imploding and it's yelling for a "change", but not this way. Not the "US way". Just watch what happened Afeganistan, Iraq, etc. Again, I repeat, I'M NOT DEFENDING MADURO IN ANY WAY… He's just a lunatic who doesn't understand nothing about politics and how to run a country.

38. Hey Carl i am Venezuelan and have been following your channel for quiet some time, thanks for all your updates!

    To explain Venezuela's current situation is as tough as explaining Bitcoin to a person that has never heard of it in the past, But i will do my best…

    First of all he did not declare himself president, he is the elected president of the National assembly which is the only institution in Venezuela that remains legitimate to the international community eyes. In May 2018 Maduro claimed to have won an elections that basically did not existed because the people did not go out to Vote because the already knew that the government were controlling the results of the elections. So this year before Maduro took pledge for the new presidential term, as the Venezuelan constitution states, the president of the assembly has the power to not recognize the regime only if the people supports him (Which they clearly did in the streets of more than 53 cities on the 23rd) to declare Guaido the transition president. This move was quickly approved by most of the countries in the world except the ones that have an established dictatorship or an on going one. With this move they pressure the dictatorship to hand over the power and negotiate their immunity to escape civically in order to organize fair and transparent elections for a new president to take over (BLOCKCHAIN WOULD HELP SO MUCH HERE) People are clearly desperate for a change, there is hunger, medical issues and lack of products being sold due to the crazy inflation so the majority clearly supports the interim president even the worst neighborhoods or favelas are against the regime and have been protesting against them. I hope they negotiate and come to an end because if they don't they know they have been involved in drugs, corruption (Odebrecht) and even terrorism so a military move will be imminent to end with this nightmare.

44. Hey guys I think this channel is great I’m a big fan but in this particular video you talk about Venezuela and the apparent uprising of an opportunist fellow out of nowhere. As a Venezuelan myself I can sincerely tell you this is not accurate. Allow me to elaborate…. Venezuela is going through one of the worst hyperinflation crisis in the history of the world comparable to countries in state of war. This crisis has been unfolding for 20 years in a so called “socialist-government” that overwhelmingly failed to execute as public administrators enhancing corruption to the highest level that ended throwing a thriving and wealthy economy into default and it is important to acknowledge that all of this happened during the GOLDEN ERA OF OIL, when price per oil barrel went from 8 USD to more than 100 USD, thats more than 1000% increase. During that period Venezuelan government had a high budget with virtually no restrictions that could have elevated our overall urban infrastructure and status quo to those of a developed or at the very least of a very healthy emerging country.

    In any case, the present political situation began last year when former President Maduro held a biased election, having banned most opposition parties from participating and imprisoning several opposition leaders including favored candidate Leopoldo Lopez. At this very moment international voices started raising in concern about the Venezuelan censorship and authoritarianism that led Maduro to forbid the entrance of international observers into the country during the elections (a common practice amongst democratic countries as part of international diplomacy stated as basic principles in organizations such as the UN)

    These elections ended by an obvious run away win for Maduro that the international community did not recognize as a democratic practice however nothing had happened because technically Maduro was still in his legitimate previous presidential period until the 10th of January of this year when Maduro reinstated himself as ruler for another presidential period.

    On the other hand Juan Guaidó the man that seemed to “come of out of nowhere” is actually the acting President of the National Assembly that was appointed by the people in national elections. According to our Constitution when usurpation of power occurs the National Assembly is not only entitled but also responsible to take over the executive power an call for new elections, therefore the National Assembly’s President must act as Interim President of the republic for an immediate transitional period until proper democratic elections can take place.

    Note that while all of this unfolded, Venezuelan people have been suffering from serious medicine and food shortages and an uncontrollable raise of crime as consequence of the economic plunge. Please understand that this is much more than a political difference, Venezuela should be declared in an immediate emergency stat and open its boarders to international aid specially for vaccines and basic supplies.
